Got my VIN# and picking car up tonight! Things to watch for?
Hello everyone,
I got my VIN # yesterday and I'm supposed to pick up the car tonight. Waiting for the dealer's call. What are some of the things I need to look out for when I pick up the car? Here's my initial list from what I gathered through this forum. Thanks for any input.
Match VIN # to car
Test Drive Car
Walk Around Inspection
Removal of all white protective film
2 keys w/ remote keyless entry. 1 valet key
Link key fobs w/ car
2 Acura key chains
Owner's manual w/ Acura pen
All Season Mats
Trunk Tray
Mud Guards
Wheel Locks
Nav Calibration
XM Activation
Car demo disc
Tires Flatspotting?
Headliner drooping?
Money Exchange. Make sure my OTD price matches the contracts.
Thanks in advance for any input!

That is a pretty comprehensive list...
I would add:
• Look for mismatched bumper paint
• Rims - double check to make sure there are no scratches
• Touch-up paint
• Radio code and navi code listed in your service manual
• The first 2 oil changes free – this is listed on the back of the TL brochure.
Good luck - and thanks for doing your homework.

McGrath Westmont. $33,800 including dest, protection package and trunk tray. I think it's a pretty fair price. Edmunds TMV is currently at $34K.
Thanks for the input everyone! Dealer hasn't called yet though...

Thanks for proving there's a more intelligent way to use this forum than just showing up and starting a new post titled, "Who can tell me when are the '05 TLs are coming out?"

one thing you forgot to check,,,make sure its not black, to hard to clean or keep cool or white, do i really need to tell you why? and absolutly make sure your car is a manual not a auto, once again i should really not have to tell you why!! also you should look out for those normal 17" rims and go for the acura's 18"rims sure are sharp, i would also stay away from the trunk deckfin, the spoiler is much sharper looking, and if the headliner is not drooping wait till you have your sunroof open for a while, i would get the sunroof visor, im not sure thats what that is called but my headliner is fine...ps i hope you know everything above is in humour, i wish i would have thought of or atleast known of this sight before buying not that it would have saved me a penny, the car is highly in demand and only two dealers within reasonably driving distance, quick your gonna love the car, my last car was a p.o.s vr6 jetta nothing but problems....jjay slvsixspd nav 18"rims spoiler 15%tint ect ect...

Thanks for the input everyone. This forum helped me out a lot. I'm getting ready to head out to the dealership to pick up my new TL!!! Wish me luck. I hope everything goes smoothly.
jj, was your last car really a Jetta VR6? That was my last car, but the tranny died on me. It was a p.o.s. I can't believe how much money I put into that car.
I'll try and write back later if I'm not too busy cruising the streets in my new TL! hahaha.
