Going to trade for new TL
I'm going to an Acura dealer to consider trading my 2000TL for an 04 TL. Will probably trade if the dealer accepts my offer. Had one dealer offer me $11,000 in trade-in for my 2000. It has 53,000 miles and is in excellent condition, always kept in the garage and never wrecked. KBB shows trade in value of $13,400.
I'm going to offer to trade for $21,000 for an 04 with NAVI.

Good luck, and also check the NADA value while you are at it. KBB tends to be on the lower side when compared to NADA. Also swing your car by a CarMax to see what they will pay for it outright.

I also recommend at least trying CarMax. I was trading in a 2000 Monte Carlo LS. KBB was around $6200 trade-in value. Dealer offered me $5750 and I ended up selling it to CarMax for $7500.

Most dealers, here in NY at least, use Graves, which is way lower than KBB and NADA. Of course they're going to use the guide that benefits them most, so print out everything you can and bring it with you to use as a bargaining chip.

They took my offer after much haggling. Told them I wanted to go look at the Lexus first. I drove my new TL home last night, desert mist, ebony int., 5AT, Navi, and look it so far.

Congratulations on your new car! I traded my 2GTL as well for the 3G.

Freudian slip. I guess I should try to multi-task.
