Just did a 1X3 drain and fill with gm syncho mesh fluid and couldnt be more happier. Got the stuff for about 10$ a quart at my local auto store

If you have an automatic you shouldn't be using GM fluid.

OP ONLY AT require 3x3 refill with Redline racing ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid) with light weight or other type (can't recall the name right now) or 3x3 drain and fill with Honda ATF D-1 (old ATF) and now is DW-1. I hope you didn't put GM fluid into your AT? GM fluid only recommend for MT to solve the issue with 3rd gear and there is no 3x3 drain and fill in the MT. I hope it clear thing out for you.

 

What if GM Synchro is the cure for all A/T TLs and this guy just figured it all out! It all makes sense now!
