GM Synchro Lub for RSX

I know I am in the wrong place, but I looked in the RSX area and didn't find an answer, so I thought I would ask the experts. I asume the GM Synchro lub willl have the same positive results on the RSX 6/mt as it does on the TL mt.

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Absolutely. Many Honda cars are affected with the manual tranny issue, along with auto tranny issues. The Civic, RSX, and S2K are all affected. All of those can take the GM fluid, no problem.

That's what I'm running in my RSX. I noticed slightly better shifts, and the second gear grind is almost gone.

Think of it this way: Honda has basically only one type of MT fluid.

If honda uses one type of fluid in essentially all their MTs then Syncromesh would work.

I used syncromesh in my RSX-S and it was great.

Yes that's the right part number.

If you NEED it then buy it locally then go ahead. Depending on how much they charge, you can save (quite a bit in my case) by ordering online. It comes out to $11.63/qt shipped from here.

sodaks2k, do you remember how much the rsx-s took for a change? The manual says 1.6 qts, but the Acura dealer is saying 2.3 qts? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure it's less than two.
