Wink Glove Box rattle sure fix/quick fix

Here's my simple fix for that annoying clicking sound that everyone gets from the glove compartment.

Place 3 slow drops of a strong GLUE (I used Gorilla Glue) into that hole on the right side below where that plastic extension has the screw that everyone says needs to be changed. Let it set overnight in the open positon and you will never hear that rattle again. Mine has been rattle free now for about 5 weeks. Granted , you may never be able to remove that screw again but then who really cares or will need to? Good luck!

Interesting fix.

If I'm gonna remove the glovebox in the future, will this fix make its removal difficult?

And before anyone says "why would you need to remove the glovebox," you need to remove it in order to change out your cabin air filter.

I think you need to remove the glove box to change out the cabin filter. Perhaps a drop of oil in that spot would work instead.

Locktite blue,, should hold it and yet be removable when necessary.. Or maybe a drop of silicone bathroom sealant.

This seems pretty "workable"... got to try it. Thanks.

I read here, somewhere, that if the filter gets clogged, the fan will no longer be able to circulate air in the cabin. In that case, you'd want to at least remove the filter if not replace it.

Do the glovebox cut out mod and all you have to do is drop the glovebox to change the pollen filter, not remove it.

Not to hijack the thread or anything but my doors for the console compartments vibrate/squeak @ certain (low) rpms... Is there an easy fix? Drives me nuts cause the rest of the car is so quiet...

Glove box is good to go though!
