getting window tint quotes
getting window tint quotes
what is a reasonable price for tint? Im getting anywhere from $220-$250 for my TL. seems kind of steep to me, i remember getting 4 doors done for under $200 before?

Mine is no llumar tint, or anything fancy (I don't think). It was just done by a local tint shop, who has been around for awhile and has had a lot of my business. My tint also has a lifetime warranty.
It depends on the brand of tint you're getting. I got my car retinted last week, it cost me $395 after taxes. They installed moleskins took the rear window tint off and retinted with Formula One Pinnacle series 50%.
Metallic tint which is the tint you're probably getting quoted for, is around the $250 price range.
The antenna on the roof is for XM Satellite Radio.
The navigation antenna is on the rear deck/shelf.

depends on the manufacturer of the tint and it's quality. I paid 155 for my accord for 35% Llumar Tint with a lifetime warranty against bubbling and scratching across the US. BUT for higher end tints like the Huper Optik, it can run almost 400 dollars! But Huper Optik is the Rolls Royce of tint!
Stick with a good brand such as Pinnacle, Formula 1, 3M and Llumar and you'll be good.

Are you from the Boston area? If so, there's a place called tint king in Billerica, Ma. Took my car there for Huper Optik 35% a few weeks back and thought they did a great job. They said a lot of TL's go through their shop so they were familiar with moleskin and tinting the full rear quarter window and behind the 3rd brake light. As csmeance mentioned, ceramic can get pricey but i felt it was worth it. The price these guys charged were in line with my expectations ($400)

Ahh yes, the B's are doing it big next season, goodbye dennis wideman, have fun in florida! I was getting tired of booing him all season haha jk
Anyways, I'd still recommend looking into Huper. Great quality and stands out from the rest imo

The radio antenna is built into the rear window.

cant wait to see who we get ....hall or seguin. either one rocks
At least down here in miami i could get them for $120 and for others for $150 which includes lifetime 5% tints and removing the old ones on four dr cars. Ive been going to this shop for almost 10 years from rims to systems.
Got my TL tinted a couple weeks ago for $200 with Llumar 18% (metallic).
Have noticed absolutely ZERO impact to my Navigation signal. Not saying it may not be as strong, especially in weak signal areas...but so far for all day-to-day purposes, it hasn't affected my Nav signal.

I got mine tinted for around $190 including moleskin. I don't know the brand, but the tint shop is very highly regarded in SoCal, so not too worried. Moleskin is where it really hurts, $10 for each window is pricey. :/
unless you dont have a nav then just mole skin
mine was 230$
would have been like 180 tho without the ceramic tint and moleskin.
