Getting Certified Pre-Owned Acura 2005 Base TL from Acura dealership...few questions

Pending credit approval

Its got 70,000kms on it.
Anything i should demand on the car be replaced (air filters, brake pads, etc).

Also will be worth it to get extra insurance (bumper to bumper, powertrain) on it?? Going to cost like an extra $2,000 for 3 years of warranty.

Thanks!

It is totally up to you for the type of insurance. I would go with full-coverage just in case if anything gona happen to my car. You should ask them to provide the maintain record for the TL specially if they ever replace the transmission fluid. you will like the car. Wellcome

When i bought mine used i asked them to change pads and rotors. Just a little something less youd have to do. If they want to sell the car bad enough theyll do it for you. I also had them change my wheels being that they were curb rashed they got me new ones.

If Certified, they are to check brakes etc and replace any items needed. Go over the car from top to bottom and I would make certain the car is in perfect condition before you sign on the dotted line. Air filter, cabin filter, etc normal maintenance items that are inexpensive so why waste time on those. The Acura care car warranty should be available for less than the $2000 Canadian, $1800 US. Check on line from one of our vendors.

a couple of things I missed when i purchased my CPO. Could possibly help you also in not missing these things.

1. Make sure they vacuum the car out. I found lipstick, eyeliner, broken glass and .... I hope this is NOT WHAT I THINk but i suspect drugs ( cocaine ) I found when I vaccumed her out. Reason I say that is because I saw some white powdery stuff in between the seat rail and center console and as I was using one of those little brushes to clean it out a white small plastic bag got sucked up through the hose and it had some white residue on it.

For anyone experienced with this I can post a pic and you can confirm for me but, im definitely going to contact the dealer and Acura about this. I find it very disgusting that the previous owner, being a female, had this crap in there. I had to remove both front seats just to ensure im not driving around with this shit in the car. Despite the car being mechanically awesome im a bit disappointed I purchased a druggies car.
Let alone a woman with a child as i found some toy cars in the trunk by the spare.

2. Make sure the clips on the ohh shit handle are there. ( handle above the front doors on the interior. My friend purchased an MDX from the same dealership and we both were missing the same part..? Weird I say.
Other than that im happy with it. ( clips that cover where the bolts are inserted )
