G-109: DIY-Eliminate LED Bulb Induced Hyper flashing WITHOUT LOAD RESISTORS
#403
well i got my rear LEDs today , put them in and i got the hyperflash again this is how i soldered my two resistors (attachment). i did cut the extra parts out from sides. guess i gotta look n see what i did wrong. any ideas guys?

if they are 0.12ohm each than that should be correct... the only thing i can assume is you did a poor job soldering it.

if you want to put them in parallel, you will need to get 2 0.48ohm resistors.

[QUOTE=vietxquangstah;13352093]what ohm are those resistors?

i got them from digikey , the ones that someone posted the link to.

so this is what needs to be done to prevent hyperflashing in both front and rear turn signals? Or will one .12 ohm resistor work?
#411
Yes, you will need two 0.12 ohm resistors (soldered in series; end of one to the end of the other) OR one 0.24 ohm resistor. Both will solve 99.9% of all hyper-flashing issues.

(I just ordered 10 so I'm good, just making sure I get it right before I solder for the first time in my life)

GREAT SUCCESS!!! [/borat] I dug into the relay again and switched my 2 0.12ohm resistors from a parallel circuit setup, to a series. That is, solder them end to end and then solder them into the board (mine created a triangle). NO MORE HYPERFLASHING! I have LED switchbacks up front, and red LED signals in the rear and they are working 100%. So for those of you who want LEDs at all 4 corners, this seems like a very viable option. You can even just spring for 1 0.24ohm resistor and you should be good to go.
Video comparing my rear LED signals to the stock will be up shortly...

He doesn't have rear LED tun signals
What you're trying to do is prevent hyperflashing on all four corners.
IMO, put in a .24ohm resistor and call it a day.
Even if you only get front leds and keep the rears halogen, or vice versa, it will not hyperflash.
Yes.

No, Roger555 was right with one .12ohm resistor because he only used it to prevent hyperflashing on only the front turn signals.

and to top it off I got the screwy used ignitor for $50 today so I am skeptical hippo about getting my lows, new HID fogs, and corner LEDs working properly this weekend

Wow Roger, you've come a long way! I can't believe I'm just now finding this out...
I need to do this to my fiance's car...I don't have LED's but if I do, I would do this over individual resistors for sure.

ugh, the sucky thing is that I accidentally bought (5) 0.05ohm resistors for $5something and then ordered (10) .24ohm ones today. what a waste of $.

that's how most of us here got our resistors.... 1 person bought a bulk of 10 or more and sold the remaining ones for a few bucks to members

Installed my .24 resistor. It's a 1/2 watt, read that shouldn't make a difference. Haven't installed LED's yet but the halogens still work. Only now I occasionally hear an electrical "scratch" sound upon engaging the turn signal. Kinda weird.

I just installed my .24 and my signals stopped working...it just makes one "click" and nothing. Is there a certain orientation to install these? Right now my colour order is gold, silver, yellow, red. Is it possible its on backwards?
#430
Check the soldering?
#431
I have the same color code on mine; mine work only every 5-6 times I flip the blinker arm I hear an audiable "scratch" sound along with the blinker "click". Other than that, my work normal. As stated, check your connections or get a new resistor (my )

HELP!!!
Have LED's in the rears as of last week and work great. Put my new VLEDs Switchbacks in the fronts and everything seemed to work great only when I turn on, say...the left blinker, it flashes orange AND the right flashes white! What the hell???

I really don't understand how you guys are having all these weird ass issues. My clicker noise sounds the same, my switchbacks from cheapo ebay work great, the lights blink on the correct side when they're supposed to, and this is after re-soldering everything twice. All i can say is double check your soldering points and make sure you didn't solder/desolder anything else.

Didn't have an issue until I put in the switchbacks. The only thing I can think of is maybe I broke something with the relay when I was pulling it out (cracked the housing with vice grips).

So here are a couple videos to show what's going on. The 1st one was taken within the 1st 5 mins of LED operation. Everything works like it should. >5 mins and I start getting the orange blinking on the correct side, and the white is blinking on the other side. I only get the screwy opperation on the front LEDs. The rears operate flawlessly.
Correct Opperation:

Incorrect Opperation:

(sorry they are links. I don't know how to embed videos from Image Shack)

That was how I 1st noticed it. I was sitting at a light waiting to make a R hand turn and noticed the ground on the driver's side was "flashing".
