front winter floor mat wrestle
Acura rubber mats for front - I like to keep things clean, but I have to wrestle with the mats to get them off the clips for cleaning and salt goes everywhere.
Is there a trick to getting the mats off the clips I don't know about?

actually here is what i have done so far by since i did not leave them unclipped.
pull your driver seat all the way back, then just lift the mat over the clip to make like an 80 degree angle. you have to move the front of the mat back first to make make it easier to rise it. Do it carefully enough w/o spilling an dirt inside, and Voila .. the mats come out with no problem.

My problem isn't getting the mat out, but rather getting it on the clip. The 1st time that I did it, I felt like an idiot, like I was too stupid to figure out a floor mat.

I leave them unhooked, they are just too difficult to get out with them hooked. They don't move very much unhooked either.

That's what I do ... it makes it easier to take them out and clean. The mats themselves hold well enough.

I just snipped off part of the hook with a pair of wire cutters. Just the part that forms the hook. Not the vertical part, the part that turns back toward the rear. Piece of cake.
