front bumper woes...

So today i finally chalked up enough courage to remove my front license plate....thinking hey who the fuck cares...my car has NY plates i'm in MO. So i drive over to the neighborhood ghetto Home Depot, and get my phillips and flat head ( sue me, i didn't bring any tools to College) and i was so happy i actually took off my plates in the Home Depot parking lot. it was really easy and simple, BUT...

as i take off the license plate case, i see this nice PERFECT hole dented into my car. i'm thinking..."shit, it's probably one of the rocks that flew off the road and somehow hit the car. Then i bend closer and i can literally see a perfect circle with cross marks at the center. Which leads me to believe that at some point and time, a car basically parked in front of me, and kissed my bumper hard enough to press it into my car.

(i'll post pictures after i figure how to host and load pictures)

so a mission that was originally going to be a happy event turned really really sour.
now i really don't know what to do. It's not just a scratch is like a nice 3mm inward circular dent, which probably means i will have to replace the whole god damn piece. what are your suggestions guys?
and i forget, but do any of our suppliers sell just bumpers? it really drives me crazy to finally do somethign to discover something shitty behind it.

sorry about the vent, just had to get it out.

Well, obviously you can put the plate cover back on, or you can just buy a bumper cover if you wanted (pricey, yet easily obtainable), but as to "fixing" the problem at a minimal level, I would think that would mean using some type of filler and I am not sure that is possible with the bumper we have. I could be wrong, and I am sure sooner or later someone else will chime in with another solution. I will discuss the bumper cover one.

My bumper was damaged (scraped by a rear ender) and I wanted a new one. But it was not to be for the level of damage, and it looks as good as new now. But nothing had to be filled. If it did, my thinking is that it would weaken the integrity of the bumper. Something as small as what you have, maybe not. But if you replace the bumper cover, it is not going to be painted. So you will also have to pay for that as well. I would look for a bumper cover several ways:

1) Tim at www.hondacuraworld.com
2) www.acuraoemparts.com
3) Ebay
4) Junkyard
5) Dealer

I don't have the figures for a bumper cover cost, but I know that #2 does. Maybe Tim does as well. I feel it's always best to go get an estimate. That way you know what you need and can plan on expense and path of repair.

I hope what I said helps some. Good luck!
