Front Bumper

I have an 06 TL and need to replace my front bumper, was wondering if an A-spec front bumper would fit because the shop that is painting it said the price for the bumpers are the same. So i figured, instead of getting the same oem bumper, i could get the a-spec bumper with the lip and foglight mounts. Any advice???

You probably mean Type-S bumper; there is no A-Spec bumper.

I say go for the Type-S bumper!

You do know that you need the fog lights, and grills, which will cost you more than you think.

oh, i thought there was a difference lol. It will fit mine though right? You're talking about the grills on the bottom of the bumper right or the main one? I figured i would just get the fogs a little later, i know they are pricey.

The Type-S bumper will fit. I did it on my 04 TL. I actually wanted the regular 07-08 bumper because the ASPEC Type-S front spoiler is not for me.

Remember, the bumper costs the same, but you also have to get the fog light grills (front, back, and trim). I'm not sure if you can use the grill with the big "A" from your 06 or not. If they don't fit, you'll have to get the parts for that as well.

The Type-S also has black chrome trim. If you need to get the new trim, you'll have to get the Type-S trim for the hood, too.

Finally, you may want the Type-S chrome rear license plate trim to complete the look.

You'll also have the get the middle grill, as the Type-S bumper's grill opening is larger =)

oh wow, so it will be a lot more work and probably a pretty penny more. im thinking it might not be worth it to do all that..i want fog lights, but not really trying to spend a fortune for all of the parts i would need to get the type-s bumper..i wouldnt mind just doing the front bumper and paying for the grills on the bottom, but i can only imagine how much the middle grill will cost with the "A".

The whole middle grill will cost like $115.
That's for the grill, the middle bar, the "v trim", and the emblem.

The thing that's expensive are the fogs.

yeah, i figured they were the most expensive. ill talk to the shop owner, see what he can do. he said it would be $348.00 for a brand new OEM Bumper, primed and painted. Which doesn't sound that bad, I just really don't want to break 500 though lol...although, it would look sick..

I don't remember exactly how much I paid for everything, but it was hardly much work at all (at least not much more than adding a regular bumper).

It did suck that all the parts were different. While the bumper fits, I think every other part is different.

I found my old spreadsheet:

75120-SEP-A10ZA hood 35.49
71107-SEP-A10ZA fog grill (L) 17.34
71109-SEP-A00 fog housing (L) 20
71126-SEP-A10ZA fog trim (L) 12.7
71102-SEP-A10ZA fog grill (R) 17.34
71105-SEP-A00 fog housing (R) 20
71121-SEP-A10ZA fog trim (R) 12.7
fog lights 237.47
08v31sda10130 harness 18.85
08V31-SDA-1M035 accord switch 18

409.89

I apologize, but it's a bit tough to see. I can't get tables to work. The fog lights are the cheap Depo ones you can get on Ebay.

This is not including the center grill parts (insurance paid for mine) and the other various parts needed to wire the fogs. Off the top of my head, I needed wires, a relay, and various connectors for the fogs.
