Has anyone put the A-spec kit on only the front and back (so no side skirts)? I was thinking about doing it as long as it doesnt look strange without the full kit. If you do I would appreciate some pics (preferably NBP) Thanks!

Type S can get away without side skirts but Base TL will stick out like a sore thumb. LE wheel looks like it came off a 370z or new Maxima.

05 TL NBP w/Front and Rear Aspec only
i pieced together the aspec myself and did the rear first then the front after a few months.. once i had the fronts on i realized it looks good even without the side skirts... especially on a black car its really not something that sticks out or bothers me. I really think ONLY other TL enthusiast will notice... 99% of the public wont ever know your rocking stock skirts

It's alright...I've had just the front and back for a while now, but finally got around to painting the A-spec sides to match the color of my car (CBP was discontinued so had to buy another color), and will be putting them on soon.
I think it looks okay, but when sitting next to another TL with the A-Spec, it does feel like something's missing.

Here's how it is now:

 

i feel not having them sticks out like a sore thumb. the car just has a clean, aggressive border all the way around when you have the aspec skirts on the side. why not do the full kit? yes it's 280 bucks or so, but that's nothing in the long run

Yes I know it's a complete opposite of what I've done to my other cars (front lip only) but I really really hate the aspec type S front lip, especially on a NBP.

​​​​Too bad the base NBP lip has been discontinued otherwise I'd get that.

You're right 99% wont notice. I was in love with a friends TL before I joined this forum. He had the Apec kit with chrome Aspec wheels.
After looking at other members car I came to realized he only had front Apec lip and those Chrome Apec started looking ugly.
I say if you have a Type S you can get away with it cause they are slightly more aggressive then stock. On a base TL not so much.

 

i prefer OEM paint and want to avoid repainting.

i have definitely seen your pics which is what swayed me towards the base lip . yes please let me know if you can find one but it shows that's its discontinued on the usual suspects sites (heel toe, acuraoemparts, benardi, etc).

i just talked to the benny guy and he has no black base lips for 07-08. either gotta go type s or get base in white and paint it black.

 

well the car is 10 years old now and the part is "accessory" so don't think they will continuing to produce. If you can get a good quality body shop paint then i won't be a problem, trust me I saw several repaint lip and I could not tell if it factory or not, also noted quality paint and cheap charge does not go hand in hand. LOL I am SOL because you can't find anything for MRP Aspec.
