Thumbs down Found a flaw...

Ok, here's a strange behavior that seems like a bug to me.

First Driver 2 uses the car, so the seat moves to the Driver 2 presets.

Then Driver 1 uses the key fob to unlock the doors. The seat doesn't move until the door is opened. (Flaw #1--why doesn't it start moving immediately when the key fob is clicked?)

Once the door is opened, the seat starts moving to the Driver 1 preset position. But it first moves all the way forward toward the steering wheel. Then it moves back into the correct position. That's a flaw: if you open the door and sit in the driver's seat, it will push you into the steering wheel!

Anyone else notice/confirm this behavior?

It isn't a flaw that it doesn't start moving until you open the door. I read an explaination somewhere but Acura designed it that way.

I'm not sure your #2 issue, but the #1 is normal, the chair/mirrors won't move until you open the door... it's not the flaw, but the design you don't like.

Dracura - My seats don't move forward all the way before "assuming" their proper position. I think there's something wrong with your car.

Had my MDX a year and it works the same way as my TL (seat doesn't move until door is opened) and I can't say it's ever been an issue. By the time I'm settled the seat is moved. As for your 2nd issue (seat moving forward), if your TL is doing this then take it to the dealer as it's a problem.

When I put my key in the door, Fob 1, the installed blow up doll (the female version of the one in the co-pilot's seat in the movie Airplane) inflates right into place. When my other half uses her key, Fob 2, the same male co-pilot blow up from the film (you remember, Otto, the one that Elaine (Julie Hagerty) had to BLOW up when he got soft) inflates right into place in the passenger's seat as well.

So what's the problem ????

I would say the problem is you and your spouse need to talk to each other more often.
