Found this on ebay!!!

Hey I was looking around on Ebay and came across this. Looks like a pretty cool deal for someone who is in need of someone else doing their lights. I already have mine done but I figured I would at least pass it on to my fellow TL'ers.

That's what I thought at first, but if you read the auction, it includes a $300 deposit that's refunded.

It seems to me like its a pretty good deal, the groupbuy for a pair of blacked out headlights was around $150 and this is only at $75 at the moment. Plus it has the whole trade in program with it, which is around the same price as the deposit for the groupbuy with the trade in program. I really dont see whats wrong with it, especially since this is a power seller with really GOOD feedback....

I saw this as well on ebay the other day. I emailed the ebay person, and asked if they would do cleared out lights with angel eyes and he said yes. The group buy is closed so this is a good alternative.

He has them listed as fitting an 04-06, but I thought the 06 had a different ballast?

I actually had one my previous 06 TL a pair of 04/05 headlights on them with the ballasts installed from an 06. Wont fit perfect but I was still able to make it work. I always wondered though if I could go to a dealer and simply trade in my ballasts from the 06 and get a pair from the 04/05. Anyone else try this...

The reason I say scammer is that they can take your $$ and run. I prefer do it here within our forum where I trust this place more than eBay.

If you want to do it then go ahead where everyone is entitle to their opinion. And it is your money.

I see what TL1999 is saying he may say that your lights were jacked up when he gets them back and keep your deposits. I wouldn't put it passed anyone on that site, because the main objective is to make a quick buck. But, you never know. I'll wait on this one, or follow one of the DIY's on the procedure.

Well I understand that aspect of the deal but with Paypal it protects the buyer and not the seller so that is added security for you. I will only do this type of deal with paypal.

With that kind of feedback it isnt worth it to screw people. I understand being cautious but to out right call a scam with no real knowledge of the seller, come on

Oh yea, GO GATORS!

Ok this is what I found out...

First he is a 3rd generation TL owner like us and has been for about 3 years now. He has done a lot of different things to his car, headlights, grills, CAI, Headers, so on etc...

Second, he used to be an Acurazine member. He said he deleted it about a year ago because everytime he got on he wanted to buy something and it was burning a hole in his pocket.

When I asked him why ebay then and not here, he simply said that ebay was much safer because of the 3rd parties involved, that will make him keep his bargain, plus he really didnt want to go through the process to become a vendor on here. He also said that he thinks there are still a lot of TL enthusiasts that dont know about Acurazine and we wanted to reach them as well.

The best thing though, he is in the process of creating a website and is trying to partner up with umnitza, so he can start including angel eyes in the costs. He was only going the ebay route first to try and see how it would pick up. Now that it has, he said that the website should be up and running within the next month or so.

He only has a couple pairs of headlights but said that the more he does, the more he can buy, and said he would then be able to have multiple clients i should say, than this one at a time. He is wanting to do just headlights to start with, but then once it gets going, he said he would start doing lower grills, engine bay paint jobs and even blacked out tails even though the tail lights might be a while, he had the least experience with that. When his website gets up he told me he would let us know. He said he would offer trade in programs, straight up buys (for those that want to keep the stock set), and for those that dont want the security deposit and can go without a car, he said we could send him the headlights and he would paint them and send them back. He seemed to me like a really cool person who just wants to help out his fellow TL owners make their rides unique...

oh and I asked about the lights jingy... and he said that all he has right now are a couple of pairs of 04-05 headlights but knows where he can get some led corners... He also said he could get some 8000k HID bulbs. Either way though, it would mean him having to buy them first and then selling them to you. He told me that at the moment things being the way they are, it would be easier and probably cheaper for you to do it.

I just finished talking with this guy and he said that if there are people out there that can go without their headlights for a week or so, that if you send it to him he will do it and send them back so you dont have to pay that security deposit. He said that he will email you pics of the finished headlight then you pay... if you arent satisfied he will redo it til its to your liking. I think Im gonna go that route... Hes open for people to start sending them

+1, although my opinion may sound bias but I believe its the same guy who has been banned a few times on AZ for trying to do back door sales.

Here is a quote by Soopa from a few years back when he tried to do a joint venture with Jatt, dont know the details to that but the quote is pretty much self explanatory.

This person has defied the very BASIC rule that any COMPANY who wishes to SELL products here must pay for that right in an effort to keep membership open & free for everyone else who is here for nothing but information & fun.

This person is here for PROFIT. Solely for PROFIT.

You should be ashamed of yourself for blatantly undermining our efforts to banish someone who has no interest in this community for any purpose other than profit.

I'll tell you what, you & this character can proceed with your business if you pay 4x the normal monthly vendor fee to make-up for the countless months in which this vendor has been selling his products & services without paying the dues. I think a 4x adjustment for countless dollars STOLEN is fair, no?

So far as your argument "well we didn't try to sell anywhere else first"... THERE IS NOWHERE ELSE. Your vendor friend recognizes this and this is exactly why he repeatedly sells here illegally under false identities. We are the only Acura community with enough people that actually OWN Acura's to make it worth selling too. You know this, I know this, he knows this, we all know this.

Stop the lies and bullshit. Pay up for his lost membership dues and your future venture, and you can proceed with your sale. Otherwise you & he can both forget about posting here under any terms.
