Forgetting headlights

Sorry if this has been brought up before -- do other people have a difficult time remembering to turn on the headlights in this car at night? Something about the look or brightness of the dash makes me think that the headlights are already ON

I've tried dimming the day-time dash brightness, which makes it dim enough to serve as a reminder at night, but then I've found that setting to be too dim for regular day time driving. I have my navi brightness set to auto, but that doesn't seem to remind me either. For whatever reason, in this car I don't remember to turn my lights on until I've been driving in relative darkness for a couple mins. I know I could leave the headlights on all the time, but that seems excessive.

Is it just me?

Yes. Shred your license, sell your car, take the bus.

I don't have the issues, the HID's are beautiful, bright, clear, concise headlights that enlighten the road ahead of me...when I don't see that happening, I know the lights AREN'T on...so I never have the issue? so I can't reason with you on this one...sorry dude, I usually know that my lights aren't on...how can you not?

sorta like those old fuddy duddy's driving TL's with their signal on for 5 mins after they've merged their lane, as if they can't see a green blinking thing right in front of them?

i obviously don't mean when its completely dark - just when the sun has started to set and it'd be safer to have headlights On than off...but you don't *need* them yet. i live in a big city so roads i drive are typically well lit. at 6pm lights are a nice courtesy to other cars but they're not necessary

streese, eat me.

I'm used to it now because my '03 Accord had a similar dash lighting etc. You'll get used to it in no time.

In an unrelated topic, the HIDs for the TL are 4300k I believe. How come Audi's and BMWs have "bluer" looking HIDs. Are those at a higher color temperature? And if so, wouldn't have have less light output because 4300k is the optimal color temperature for HIDs and by going higher aren't you losing light?
