Footwell Lighting

To fellow Type-S owners,

Is your driver side foot well lighting significantly brighter than the passenger side? I was just wondering if I need to replace a bulb on the passenger side or not. It's pretty dim.

Maybe the cap fell off the driver side, making it brighter?

I was thinking the same but I assumed OP did a visual inspection and can tell if one side looked different than the other.

Nope same brightness on mine. You sure it's not just an illusion since on the drivers side the light is reflecting on your legs and shoes making it appears brighter? When driving my TL at night with black carpet and mats you almost don't even see the passenger side lit up unless someone is sitting there, where as on my side my entire shoes and lower part of my legs glows red. I bet they are the same, it's just an illusion to you.
And btw, they are supposed to be dim, they are just subtle ambient lights.

I actually haven't looked under the dash to do a visual inspection. The thought came across my mind late at night. However, I'll do that this evening once the sun goes down.

That definitely makes sense about it being an illusion. I never have anyone in my car for very dumb reasons (related to keeping it clean lol). Appreciate the response. I'll sit in the passenger side later on tonight to see if it really is an illusion. Which like you said, it's very likely.

Sit in the rear seat in the middle to tell if they're the same.
