Fogs questions
i looked around and really couldnt find a definative answer ...
so i have a base 06 tl obviously no fogs ... im looking to get fog lights on it abut im really not quite comfortable cutting up my bumper and shit to do that accord fogs so i was thinking of a few other options ..
1. getting the type s lower grills and installing them on my vehicle
2. a full type s front bumper and install it on my car
my questions is will either of these work? is it possible that the type s lower grills can fit on where i take my lower grills off? if so that would be easy i would say ... any info would help
thank you

i'm 95% sure you can't put a type-s grill into any base model grill area because it's shaped different on the type s.
a type-s bumper is gonna be over $200.
if you just spend $50 on the accord fog light kit and do it yourself you can save alot of money.
how about trying it, and if you mess up real bad (haven't read any posts of any member doing this) than buy the type-s bumper to replace it. chances are, you're gonna end up saving yourself money doing it yourself
btw, this isn't a "performance" part, or considered a "performance" mod

i mean it also depends how you fit them also, just dont fit them too deep in, my buddy made that mistake.
also, you would have to cut the type-s grills to fit it. Just take your time when you cut it. its not hard but take off a little bit at a time. you don't cut anything on the bumper besides the back to get the wiring hooked up. and its a part that no one will see so it doesn't really matter how bad you butcher it. its the fog light housing that you have to cut. but honestly your best friend is time. dont rush it. but if you have the money for the type-s bumper and fogs that works too lol.

Honestly save your money. If you want the type s look guitarplayer16 pointed out to me you can get that look for about $80 bucks with your current bumper minus the price of the accord fogs which people have been able to buy for like 50 bucks. Also GeeTeeDan just did his fogs not to long ago (https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/anyone-wanting-do-fog-lights-832880/) so there is a lot of great info including gp16's step by step guide even for the type s look. It really is just taking your time with the cutting portion. A little patience will save you some serious doe. Now if you got the cash to blow do your thing lol, hope all goes well with your mod.
TL-S nose end conversion is quite expensive on a 04-06. Lots of parts and painting is required.
But the 07-08 OEM style grilles, bumpers, lips, and lower fogs look pretty good.
If your not looking to drop a lot of cash, just go for the Accord fogs + HID kit.

. If you find any cars can you by chance ask how much the hood would be?
^yes and no, that's why the test fit comes into play. one of my buddies has his in deeper so it goes directly straight, i preferred the flush look so It angles out a bit, but the majority is still infront of you.
Take a look at AckTL05s installs. I did my install looking at his accord fog installs.
On my DIY I believe I clearly note that you want to point the fogs in as possible which involves using the outside edge as a pivot point and just push back the inside edge.
I have seen many installs on here that look like the fogs point really outward though.
