If you want to change the color to yellow or blue, buy a yellow or blue bulb. I'm not sure what size bulb is in the 04-06 models because I have an 08 and that spot is used for our DRL.

I know they're not yellow or blue, but can I suggest the Philips HIR2 or 9012 as they're also known. I got them in my foglamps and I have to say I can drive with just the foglamps, and it's clear as day. They do take a little trimming to get them to fit, but it's really quite simple. Here's the trimming instructions:
http://shnu.us/HIR%20Trimming%20A.htm

Here's a spec sheet comparing the HIR2 to the 9006 and the HIR1 to the 9005:
http://www.hirheadlights.com/stats.htm

As you can see the the HIR2 has higher lumen output than 9005 high beams. They are a little more pricey than standard 9006 bulbs but not that more. You can get the HIR2 Philips for $18.32 each.

Let me know if you guys want me to take a pic of the foglamps on by themselves. I think you'll be surprised just how bright they are.

I decided to take a pic of my foglamps. As you can see they're pretty damn close to being bright enough to not even need the HID bulbs.

Yeah, get an HID kit to put in a reflector that was never meant to house it. That way you can blind oncoming traffic with hotspots.

Repeat after me: HID's do not belong in cars that don't come with them from the factory. Unless you retrofit HID projectors into the housing.
