both of your cars are nice with those accord fogs. I got one side installed now, and I will be putting on the drivers side wednesday if I got time... I was thinking about putting on HID in the fogs but I did not for now...

Anyone installed these with the wiring harness provided. Just checked out a video that outlines this on the accord and I'm just wondering id its doable. I want to use the switch provided so I can run them independently. Wanna do it this weekend. Any insight would be great.........

You can run both the stock and the aftermarket foglight at the same time. But for the aftermarket, you need to run a seperate wiring harness and switch to do that. So you can have both or one of the other. I didn't use the wiring harness that comes with the aftermarket foglight because I'm using the stock switch.
Good Luck

You did puddle lamps too? I was thinking of that but gave up on it. I see you did a recessed job. Looks great! How many do you have per sill? I was thinking of doing 4 or 5 per side. I see 2 broad types of puddle lamps out there; a 3 LED set which is more affordable and then there's a hi-end expensive really bright 5LED model. Which ones did you use?

Also by the way, how did you wire them? To a switch or directly tapped to other lights? I thought of somehow tapping these lamps to the interior/courtesy lights. This way they would also FADE with the rest of the lights.....How hott is that? They turn on when you unlock with the remote giving you light as you walk in and fade out with everything else! Wow this is tempting me more. How hard was the install?

Yes I did the puddle lamp a while ago. I have 2 LED on each side. Because my friend (installer) told me not to waste money on it >_<. So he installed 2 on each side. I brought this one from this company www.varad.com or go here http://www.varad.com/productsl210.html

My friend wire it so when I arm or disarm the alarm it will goes on or off. Or when the door opens it will goes on. I believe my friend wire it up by tapping onto the interior lights. It is very install. The kit should comes with instruction to show you how.

Good Luck!

I see you have 2 lamps per side. What I meant to ask though is how many individual LEDs are in each unit. It looks like that Varad model is actually a single 1 Watt LED per unit. I was thinking of a 5 LED unit maybe. How's the Varad though? Is it bright enough. I assume you only really see it at night time right?

Yes each unit have 1 LED. It is very bright during the night time. OR you can go with these
http://www.umnitza.com/product_info....oducts_id=1112

I'm in the process of adding 1 LED ight on to my side mirror shining downwards when I arm or disarm my car or when my doors are open. I think I'm overkilling it...am I? >_<

Puddle lamps

I was actually thinking about getting those puddle lamps and installing them, but.....as my company just canceled ALL Bonuses for the year, it will have to wait.

Well after relocating the foglight on the bottom grill., I was pretty satisfy with the outcome. I know a lot of people here in the forum followed my step and happy what you all did to yours! Since the out put is somewhat mediocre, I wanted a sharp cut off from the beam. So my next project to cut open the foglight housing and install these Bosch Mini Projector:

Dimension of these are as follow:
Max Outer Diameter = 2 3/4"
Lens Diameter = 1 1/2"
Max depth = 3 3/4"

Since the projector is about 1.5 inch in diameter, I feel that it would fit easily inside the housing and also give a good flat cutoff. Just like to see what is your thoughts on these.

Would you still have the same pluf n play for the wiring or would that need to be swapped out?

Let us know how they turn out - some of us haven't done the Honda ones yet........this might be another alternative

Same plug and play wiring. I have HID on the foglights so I am still using the same stock wirings. But only thing is that I will be using the same foglamp BUT I will cut it apart and put in these projects and then seal it back. So it will be the same foglamp but just that I stuck in a mini projector.

I'm planning to get mine installed soon. I was wondering, anyone know how to wire the fog lights so that they'll automatically turn every single time headlights turn on and retain the ability to turn the stock fogs on/off?

So in other words, every time my headlamps turn on..the accord fogs turn on...every time i turn headlamps offs, the accord fogs turn off as well.

You can but need to do some wiring modifications. I'm not too sure how but there is a way to do that. YOu can do it where when you just have the parking light on...the foglight will be on as well. I believe you just tap one wire to the parking light wires.

good luck

Post #46 in this thread has some tips to show you how to wire your fog lights to turn on when your parking lights or headlights are turned on.

I noticed no one responded about the "airflow" comment, is this a major issue or not?

when wiring the fogs to the car, you can run it to the existing fogs to make use of the stock switch and still turn on the stock fog lights? Im doin the install tommorow and id just like to know how many wires im actually going to need and how to wire it using the existing stock switch. Thanks

Think i got a little in over my head with this project lol. Anyone interested? Really cheap, i just want to get rid of these lamps. They work perfectly.
