Fog light bulbs not tight

I replaced the fog light bulbs today and neither feel secured. I've taken them out and in a few times and each time it's not fully tight. It feels like they're flush and don't pop out but are no longer securely in.

Did the fogs you buy have a gasket?

Yea it's got the standard o-ring like any other bulb. Even the OEM fits back in loosely so it seems like I'm not fully inserting them. Never really had an issue with bulbs before so it's odd

I really dislike when companies don't make it simple for bulb replacement.

I mean, lets go back to the basics. Are you using the correct bulb?

I had to ask. Wouldn't be the first time someone was replacing what was already wrongly there with the same wrong thing.

Picture of my fog bulb installed

I did make another thread about this but I can't figure out why it's not a tight install. It doesn't pull out when it's fully turned to the right but it's loose. What am I missing?

Did you try an extra gasket or an o-ring?

I haven't as it looks just like the OEM bulb which was tight when I first removed it but even that bulb I can't back in tight so this is an issue with me it seems. It's just really weird

Have the Philips screws that retain the bulb bayonet backed themselves off? Check them but don't force them.

But both bulbs were tight when I first unplugged them. That's what's throwing me off

I would go pick up a standard 9006 bulb from your local auto parts store to confirm if it fits/sits correctly. I didn't realize you were using some odd el'cheapo LED glare generator bulbs. My guess is either screws backed out a bit, or the socket got damaged during the LED install, or you are missing or damaged the o-rings on the bulbs.

I mentioned in an earlier post that the OEM bulbs I removed also don't go back in tight. Nothing's missing or damaged. It does seem like the screws are loose, just haven't confirmed yet

Really odd

I'll bet if you check the bayonet with a set of calipers, it's not thick enough. This is why you don't buy any parts on Amazon.

As for the socket on the headlight and the old bulb: Either the screws backed off, and/or the original bulb o-ring is shot.
