Flatspotted Tires?
I understand the problem but what is Acura saying is causing it? Is it occuring during transporting from the factory or the cars sitting at the dealership too long? I only ask as i pick mine up next week and the dealership is claiming they have heard of no such problems, and if there are some occurances then it is because the cars are sitting at other dealerships too long - that is what my dealer said. Sounds like BS to me. Any thoughts?
Also, another thread states the dealerships are replacing the tires. When i pick my car up, if I test drive it and hit 55 w/o vibration then should i be in the clear?

My car was on the lot for 4 days, if that is too long then, that dealership you are talking about has big problems.
Regarding your test drive, you may not feel it, I have found that it happens in sub 45 degree weather and must be sitting for 4-5 hours, so if yours was driven (like from the gas station for that full tank, or from the detail center) before you pick it up, or the weather is above 45, then you will not feel it on the test drive.
Regarding not hearing of it, Acura sent notices to the service departments according to my dealer saying that some people may experiance this.

Just took a 04 TL on a test drive yesterday. I don't know how long the car was sitting on the lot, I would assume a few days, and it was 25 balmy degrees in Chicago, and I noticed the vibration once we hit 50 mph. Not bad, I might not have even noticed it if it was not of the heads-up. But it was there. It did seem to go away after about 10 minutes. I hope Acura fixes this before I buy.

I am getting mine replaced but I was told its not an acura decision, so dont expect the dealer to do so, you can try but they may or may not do so.

The problem happens with my car after parking overnight (maybe even shorter). The vibration goes away after driving around for a few minutes. My car was at the dealership for less than 5 days before we took delivery (I was at the dealership the day it rolled off the truck into the dealership).

It said the flatspot should not happen so easily if your car just sits for a few days. Except the real bad quality, low profile, high speed rate, cold temperature, and heavy loads, the flap spot wouldn't happen for minutes' parking. Some car may have it after weeks, but not a few days. Believe you may know more than your dealer... (where you live is pretty cold, flatspot could occur faster than others.)
As for the Client service, we need more ppl calling them to complain tires and vibration. I don't have vibration issue, but I still phone them about my dislike to tires. Mabye Acura will start to talk about the solution next month after thousands of calls to them. When you own the car, your call would be noted with your VIN in Acura database...

When I first found out about the EL42s back in August It disturbed me. I just knew it was going to be a problem from the very begining. However, I am still waiting for the 6MT here and if it has tire problems I will be right at the tire dealer getting new tires and if Acura refuses to pay for them the bill will be sent to Acura by my attorney.
Thes things are awesome, nice smooth ride and they are preety quiet given the thread pattern. They are really sticky, I tried to break them loose in turns and such but couldn't. I will have pics tomorow
