flashing hi beams.

has any one been on the high way and see cars on the other side flashing there hi beams? I know this means there's a cop ahead but the question it can you get arrested for doing that?

Nope, I usually turn on my hazards... when I see a cop or when everyone is suddenly braking in front me...

But high beam, I don't know... that will be annoying... Maybe someone was saying hello to you

You sure it wasn't one of those "your headlights are so much brighter than mine and I'm jealous" flashes? I get those fairly often.

its saved me plenty of tickets and i do the same when I try to warn people. its all a matter if people actually understand it, my pops had told me about it way back in the day. People also do it if you are in the fast lane, and the car behind you has a cop behind him. he flashes the high beams before he gets out of the way.

Action: Evening/Night, oncoming car turns lights on/off.

Message: Turn your lights on.

Action: Evening/Night, oncoming car flashes brights.

Message: Turn your brights off.

Action: Oncoming car flashes brights *especially on a 4-lane divided highway*.

Message: Slow Down; Cop/Speed trap ahead

Action: When Passing, car you just passed flashes brights.

Message: You are clear to move back over/change lanes. (especially helpful to 18-wheelers)

Very true, which is why it is important to be sure your headlights are aimed correctly.

The 3G TL is designed to have the left side light aimed slightly lower than the right, just so you don't blind someone. But on hills/grades, you really can't help it.

Hey....not ALL are WEINERS!!! I warn people about 5-O all the time with the flash. BTW, that little maneuver will get you a ticket if caught, since they think you are doing the Euro "let me the f*#k by" flash! It is illegal in the Socialist Republic of Washington

It's not illegal to let people know that there are cops around.

No, you are not interacting with them... If you want you can have a loud speaker yelling... HEY THERE IS A COP! SLOW DOWN!.... You are suppose to hi beam a few times...if you do it none stop, besides your bulbs going to waste, you will just attract their attention.

Another thing, when passing a cop, don't brake man.. I see everyone doing this.... Do it before, not after, lol.

Same as a radar...it's not illegal to know where the bacon is hiding
