What the fuck happened to the right side of the car?

It looks like somebody took a sledge to it.

Sorry to hear about your loss man. I'd say it's totaled.

the only thing i was wondering was, is my front airbag suppost to deploy? since i was hit from the passenger side first then on the on the driver side from the car next to me? because most of the damage is from the front.

Glad your ok man.

From looking at the damage it looks like its still drivable. I dont think they'll total it, but it will be expensive to fix. Thank God for insurance! I dont see how the driver side fender is so banged up yet, the rims are spotless! July seems to be a bad month for us TL owners. That makes three so far this week!

glad ur ok. it has been a bad month, some chick got rear-ended in her new type s and then you. ur ride is hella sweet. as for being totaled, i would say it could go either way. if there is frame damage i would start looking for a new one

it looks alot worst from the front if i had taken a better picture. the guy had to be going well over 50+ to beat that light. and i think the car next to me took some of the impact or else i would have made a complete 360. Amazing how my wheels came out ok. just a small nick lol.

In regards to the airbags, initial impact was passenger side, causing passenger side airbag to deploy. Front airbag will not deploy as your vehicle was pushed into another car. If the front airbag deployed it has the potential to actually cause more damage to your body than good. All in the systems.

Now if you were in an offset wreck where you were going forward at like 30mph, then you would have all the airbags go off.

I don't think it's anywhere near totaled. Just body work but make certain you do file for "diminished value" if they do not total it out. So many claimants either do not know or forget about that aspect of insurance. Nice wheels by the way. Many insurance companies won't pay for after market pieces so if it's possible, I would swap those out for OEM ones while it is in the shop getting estimates.

wtf that TL was gorgeous, that guy better not have been on his cell phone or something. I love those rims. push for a total, it'll never be the same if there's any frame damage. if they do fix it make sure to spray all the seals with a hose real good to check for leaks and also drive over uber-bumpy roads to check for rattles.

Glad you're ok man. If it's totaled, go after that Type-S to keep the TL blood in your veins. And don't forget to claim as much goodies from that ride as you can ...i.e. rims!

Morons really don't know how to drive these days!! Waiting a couple minutes for a light won't kill somebody, but running it will.
The TL did her job yet again.

That's a lot of body work:

New.....

passenger side rear door
passenger side front door
hood
front bumper
both headights
passenger front fender
passenger rear fender
side marker lights
passenger A-spec skirt
front A-spec kit
grill
passenger side rearview mirror
passenger side curtain airbags
passenger curtain airbag covers

and....
unkown frame and engine damage

These are all just guesses, but it looks pretty costly, insurance-wise

You never stated how many miles are on the car. That would have a lot to do with being totaled. From the looks of the car, I hope for your sake it is totaled. It sure looks like it's done for. Glad to hear you are ok. I see that you took the rims off already. Get whatever you can off the car.

50k... hmm... cars worth about... 22-24k (stock)

so, in NY you need 66% of the value to be totaled out.... i dont know about texas.... but if so, youd need like 15k worth of damage..and honestly... it looks like it could along those lines

i feel your pain... i went the same route, and my old car looked alot like yours... so did ililililililil, and his was totalled.... damn NBP curse

glad you're ok.... its just a car... i hope your wheels are ok too.... they are pretty damn nice..

GL with everything
