Hi all,

Picked up my TL last night. Silver / Quartz / 6MT / HPT. So far, it is a great car. The dealership preped it without checking and I got free mud flap, locks and tint. Lucky me

So, today I went to Walmart and a guy in an S4 parked near me and walked over to talk about my car. Said he needed to buy a car for his girlfriend and would not buy and Audi again. Wanted to know my thoughts on the TL vs G35. This was only 15 minutes after going out today.

Then on the way home, a G35 was passing me, slowed down, got behind me and followed me home. Guess he wanted to get a look at the car.

I wonder how long this will last

 

I've had mine a month, and they are still looking, even talking to me at stop lights, etc. Now that I have the tint and Zaino, they are looking even more!

I think that this will go on for a while!

 

Yeah, I got a lot of that when I was driving the Clair Acura test-drive demo in the first couple weeks we had it (lots of gas runs). Lots of 2nd gen TL owners were coming up to me at the gas station and putting down their windows at stoplights and asking me about it. It really gets attention in and looks good in any color. I want one so badly...but being 18 I can't exactly afford $35000 for a car yet....oh well, I love my Infiniti so I can wait until I get out of college. Then I'm picking up a CPO one for sure.

 

The compliments and looks never seem to stop. This is a fun aspect of owning a brand new model, particularly such a cool one.

The first week I had the car I had a guy in a toyota truck with a supercharger try to race me and then he wanted to talk to me because he had a 02 TL he wanted to trade for an 04 TL.

 

I'm lucky to have the same car as yours.

04 TL is really eye-catching vehicles. No matter where you go TL is outstanding. Besides ppl check out your car in lots or gas stations, I got some special ones.

There are more than a dozen of drivers lowering windows and talk to me how TL is... on streets. One of them was motorcyclist, checking on my car back and forth, then knocked my window saying it's better than the one on TV.

One S-type 4.2 almost pulled me over to talk to me, just wanna know how good it is. A MDX stopped on the middle of downtown street and asked me how mcuh I paid for this... New Yorker is rude sometimes...

While I was sitting at a light the other day this lady looks over at the car as she is coming to the light - rear ends the guy in front of her. I think she was trying to figure out what kind of vehicle it was. I'm just glad she didn't rear end me!

 

Yep, I was followed on the highway for awhile the other day. It turned out to be another '04 TL owner with a different color car. He gave me the "thumbs up" and exited.

 

I did the same to another TL owner... I was chasing another Anthracite TL in Pittsburgh, a lady driving it, she thought I'm weird and let me overtake hers on the highway... and she kept slowing down...

 

when i first got my 02 TL 2 yrs ago, i had the same experience as a lot of guys looking at my car on the road and my bright HID headlights made them wonder

but now...lots of car has HID and nobody cares~ =P

 

you got to get the wife something nice to drive, too!
