First battle scar

left work yesterday only to see a decent down to the frame gash on my front aspec lip, another small one behind it, and sexy blemish/smear on the front bumper. should be able to PC the blemish (thanks alex, ) and maybe some dr.colorchip for the scrape. i don't think touchup paint would hold up well. i need to fill the void. i'm just thankful the damage was not more severe. i *hope* this can be mended fairly close to perfect.

somebody had obviously backed out of their parking spot and clipped me on the way out. i wouldn't be upset, had that person came in and told me what happened. (everyone knows it's my car)...it's the fact they just drove off. i also would not be upset had i been the one to cause the damage. nonetheless, idk hoo did it and i never will...but it was def icing on the cake after an already shitty day.

just thought i'd share my first battle scar after 1 year of ownership.

Ok, here it is

It happened in less than an hour , from the time I took the trash bag out to the time I drove my girlfriend home . What a coincident ! We both 1 year ownership.
Edit: I fix it by touch up paint, still need to add more layers

Damn, that sucks. I feel your pain. A couple of weeks ago I got nailed in my rear driver's side door by the rear door of an SUV. It happened at a car show of all places! It left a deep dent about an inch and a half long and took paint off. Luckily, my buddy is a paintless dent repair master and he got the dent out to perfection. I tried Dr. Colorchip but it just made it look even worse than it was. It dried to a dull finish and was a lighter shade than the surrounding paint. I guess silver paint is really hard to match. You guys might have better luck than me since you have darker colors though. Now I am contimplating getting the door resprayed since I am OCD about my car with will cost another $320.

Oh yea, I forgot to add that no note was left for me either. My paintless repair friend said that in his 17 years of business removing dents he has only seen 2 people leave notes. Its a sad state of the times. The parking lot also had cameras but the camera where I was parked was not working.

i feel your pain. i had a hit and run on my ride a few years back...i was pissed. of course no note. what the hell is wrong with people??

it would be one thing if i was the one that put the scar there, but some other irresponsible jackass....grrrrr!

totally understand. i'm anal, so i had my car in the shop two days later to get it fixed....yeah someone else's $1K f-up out of my wallet. damn now that i think about it...that $1K could have gone to an exhaust! unfortunately it wasn't something a little elbow grease and touch up paint was going to correct. soft ball size dent with a nice scrape all the way to the metal.

guess things could always be worse like the poor guy who lost his ride to a stupid teenager texting while driving.

@ clark kent

but hey it could have been worse...from what it looks like is 2nd pic = buff out....1 pic = repaint....

If you were in KS, I would have hooked you up with a buddy who does paint work @ a toyota dealership....

but hey battle scars always look good

Sorry to hear it Aaron...my first "scar" was also received at work...a pretty noticeable door ding on my passenger side...now not only do I park in the most remote part of the parking lot, I'm also that considerate guy who takes up 2 spots.

there is nothing wrong with that...if you know for sure there no one parks out in the boondocks of the parking lot...then go for it. i do the same thing at one parking garage for work. at my other office, i try and park with the passenger side tight to a column (but not too tight, i saw what a 5 series owner did to his poor car...he still hasn't fixed it-). just don't double park near the door!

It looks like what my car looks like right now =(

I just applied touch-up paint all over my car, and wetsanded some so now I have 2000 grit sanding marks all over my car.

Hopefully my M205 gets rid of it all.

C'mon now Sharksbreath, you kno this was done intentionally so you can put those Buick style fender-bullets on it! You should put like, 9 on each side.

Last Saturday night, we had a HUGE hailstorm in south Kansas City. My Type S got stuck in it-now I have 3 very small hail dents in the car.

Uggh. So sorry to see that; I HATE parking lot damage.

I don't know about anyone else, but no matter where I park in the lot it seems I come back out and find some SCUD of a vehicle parked next to mine. The rest of the lot could be empty and they'll park right next to my car. It's like a magnet.

Aight here goes nothing... My First Battle Scar after tryna park in Reverse between two cars using the Rev Cam alone cause it was to Dark Outside. FML Lucky the other car wasn't hurt and said it was cool.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/tl-s/5927078003/^^ Rear Quarter panel where the rear bumper meets was dented in a little not letting the rear bumper clip on right
http://www.flickr.com/photos/tl-s/5927601374/http://www.flickr.com/photos/tl-s/5927600980/Yeah if u noticed the Curb rash on the wheels... I bought em like that FML dude told me there was nothing wrong with them. When i got then i was like SHIT. At least its only on one wheel so when i fix it it should be to expensive "HOPEFULLY"
It pisses me off since its on the Driver side, I have to look at it everyday FML, Gonna have it fixed as soon as I can

i honestly think sometimes they really just dont realize they hit someone else for those graze marks. that or they're not paying attention at all to the feeling of the car.
