Damn good choice on going with the 2-piece set up! I have the same set up on my CL-S, and what a world of difference it makes! Congrats on the purchase and install!

hahaha...yeah, haven't tested em yet...still in the break-in period (almost 200 miles). Is the brake pedal supposed to be a whole lot stiffer? Cuz I think mine feels a bit soft. Bled them twice already with the craftsman bleeder gun. How did you get yours bled?

ACCURATEin, Im pretty sure that those two screws can be left off. From what I was told is there only put there during the production in the factory's, Because of the cars being over head of the people working on the cars. When I changed pads I left them off and have had no problem since.

We typically gravity bleed first and lightly tap the caliper with a rubber mallet to free up any air pockets. Then we close the bleeders and do a vacuum bleed on individual bleeders or you could use the old method of pump and release.

And I do agree....the "GOLD" Circuit Breaker pads do squeel like a MOFO! Thats what I have on my CL-S, and I had to have the shop put some "STOP-SQUEEL" on them. Nice work again man....keep it up

3200 is a big nut to pay but if you got it, spend it. It does look really great and I am sure after you break them in, it will be that much better!

Yeah, well these silver pads aint all that quiet either. Already at 300 miles with em, and they squeel every time I moderatelly come to a hault during normal driving. Just a little bit, but enough to make some people turn their heads , I hate it cuz it makes me feel like people are thinkin, "damn, this guy needs to get his brakes checked!"...even though they're new. then again, small price to pay for WAy better brakes. What is this "STOP- SQUEEL" and where do I get it from?

Sometimes the noise is caused from the brakes not being bed in right in the beginning. Did you bed the brakes in once you installed them? You need to do a series of stops 60-5mph about ten in a row. You want to be really hard on the pedal but make sure not to engage the ABS system. The pads form to the rotors and the noise should go away. One of the cons to having such great brakes. Let us know what happens.

damn those look tight. the rear calipers look similar to the ones from the Evo/STI - a 2-piston design.

No, Didn't bed them initially (Rotora's instructions didn't mention it), but it makes sense to bed them. So, I did this yesterday afternoon; 10 runs from 60-5mph, braked hard (smelled delicious!), no ABS. Then I drove to my mom's....no squeals during stop n go, except for when I was parking. then, when I went home they started squealing again as they used to. it only does is at very low speed w/ very light braking ( like navigating through my driveway and slowing for speed bumps, or right before coming to a slow stop at red lights. they scream bloody murder when turning the wheels sharply when braking at low speeds.

Rotora says the break-in period is 200-500 miles, (I'm like at 315mi), but I highly doubt the noise will magically go away at 500 miles. I can only hope. Any other advice?

Update;

Squeal is only getting worse. Both fronts but more so on the driver's side...or is it cuz I'm sitting there? Nah, I think it's louder on the driver's side. It's becoming embarassing. three g's for this? I need to get this fixed ASAP!

Or... you may have installed the rotors on the wrong sides.

What wheels are those in that picture?

I'm not sure he's on here anymore. That thread is 2 years old.

One thing to point out is that Rotora does have the slots facing differently than every other brake I've ever seen. I almost put mine on without looking at instructions which would've been the wrong way. It makes no sense to me at all but I went ahead and followed instructions. My rear stock sized Rotoras are the same way. Slots facing so that they would channel water and dirt towards the inside of the rotor instead of fling it to the outside.

I get the occasional squeek but it's maybe once a week if that. I broke mine in with several 120-5mph stops on the verge of ABS.

I got the 2 screws out easy, by putting my screwdriver in the head of the screw then hitting the handle of the screwdriver with a hammer, to loosen the screw up a little. Off they come What's the financial damage on these? They look GOOD.

I'm still here! Yeah, the rotors are mounted per instructions.

Do you, (or anyone else), recall if you lost some usable lenght on the wheel studs after the two piece rotors? There's approx 3/16" less stud length (I believe the rotora rotor centers are that much thicker than OEM rotors). Not a whole lot of threads lost, but it still doesn't give me a warm fuzzy. Might look into getting longer studs.

Any input is appreciated!

BTW, Allon, I hate you for creeping up on 300WHP on a N/A TL! great work, man.
i have the same set up as u do but my rear is 4 pots
i realized that i lost some usable lenght on the wheel studs too! not sure how much tho
did u end up getting longer studs?
and also does that mean our wheels are pushed out 3/16" to the fender too?

Yes, I got significantly bigger suds...forget which lenght though. I think like 10 or 15mm longer. Plus better lug nuts....the popular ones, like Scott has, but in black chromish color. Yup, wheels stick out more but u can't see it or feel it.

I got 2 pistons in the rear, not four. I got them just to compliment the entire kit. Not sure if they do much, since the pads are wearing super slow.

Dude that last pic is INSANE!!! PC STOCKIES FTW...ghetto

Hey have you had any issues with those black lugs backing out? I think we have the same and when i first put them on some started backing out but havent had any issues for several months.

Im partial on the Red "A" on the center caps because of the big red calipers as it kinda takes away from it but thats just my either way

Slotted is no problem. If you go with drilled, you must get a quality rotor or you will run into cracking issues.

Did you went 14" in the front and 13" in the back? I need to upgrade my brake to my TL. The brake on AT TL suck ass big time. I am glad you posted some picture and you made my mind. I was still on the fence because of the price
