Finally pulled the trigger on a TL

I went to philly and hopped around acura dealers looking for a tl or type-s. I found one type-s but they were overpriced and wouldnt budge so I said "screw it".

I wasted day trying traveling to find a good priced TL that met my standards/criteria and decided I was no longer gonna try to get a TL. So go figure, a day later after I say F-it, a WDP/nav in Mint condition fell into my lap, lol.

The stupid sales guy said the "sales manager " couldnt drop the price more then 250.00 , so I said thanks for your time, walked away and barged into the sales managers office and threw cash at him to show I was serious and negotiated on the spot a extra 1500 off. The sales guy wasnt happy about that but O-well.

I am now the happy owner of a 05 WDP/NAV/48kmiles (and the bumpers matches great compared to other WDP Ive seen lately)

Sorry, no pics its too dark out.

Awesome man. Something similar happened to me. In December, I looked around for a few weeks and only found overpriced TLs in okay condition. Then, I decided to look on craigslist and found a couple who just wanted to get rid of their TL because their businesses weren't doing well. They sold their TL to me at the payoff cost, well below blue book value. The dealership where they bought it inspected it and give me all the service records. When I picked up the vehicle, the salespeople went on and on about how the couple had meticulously cared for the TL and assured me I had scored a great car. A few weeks later, the couple mailed me all of their warranty and service records. They kept receipts from each service appt. Now, I'm loving my 05 WDP TL too. Congrats man. Post some pics soon.

Sweet and congrats! I just bought mine a week and a half ago, 06 RRP non-navi 45K. I was only able to get him down $1000, but he threw in some tires and ordered new remotes. I really tried to get a Navi, but could not find one for less than $20,000 OTD with the miles I wanted. So how much did you end up paying? I paid $17,998, so I figured in a year or two I can do the non-navi to Navi conversion with the money I saved.

I paid 18k, I wanted to buy in Private party range of 17.3k for it, but said screw it since im so tired of traveling 150+ miles just to look at TL's, plus this one was only 30 miles away from me which is the only local one that came up in 6mths.

They wanted 19,750.00 for it. The thing that sold me is its in mint condition which I thought was rare for a 05. I've been looking for a TL since last October. Some 07's with less miles I saw were not even remotely close to the condition of this 05.

Im just happy I can stop looking and now focus on modding, lol.

This one doesnt match up "perfect", I was just saying alot better then some I have seen in the last 6 mths. It wasnt off colored enough where I'd concentrate on the mismatch instead of seeing the whole beauty of the car.

I noticed the interior trim is carbon fiber. Is this standard on the vehicle?

I could of swore only the tl-s came with carbon fiber. I thought the it was supposed to come with the dark wood scheme.

Carbon fiber, light wood, and dark/black wood are standard options.

Carbon fiber trims (steering wheel, cup holder, rear vents, etc.) are accessories.

No its gone, I sold it for 2500 more then I originally bought it for, and that is after returning it back to stock so it made parting easier to deal with.

I do miss the AWD and how stable the car was in any circumstance, but most of all I miss the Torque. That thing modified was a beast.

On the other end of the spectrum I don't miss the maintanance cost/MPG/and the harsh ride.

I love how the TL rides and the seats are way comfortable compared to the STI seats. The TL is great as a daily driver.

It would be nice to have the STI as a weekend driver but I cant afford both.

TL FTW

Thanks, man there is an abudance of info on this site. I already changed the splash screen and deleted the disclamer and ok, added the trip and a/c mod.

I called to get 20% window tint and i was quoted 280 w/ a lifetime warranty against bubbling/fading. The group buy for the aspec lip kit is very tempting and I think its a must have.
