Finally Happened 2004 Maxima Vs TL-P

Ok, so the race i was talking about finally happened. We had the race on Haracehardin. Parallel to the LongIsland Expressway.(NewYork)
i had a good advantage because the guy had his gf and 3 guys sitting in the back of his car ...lol.. I didnt even bother to tell him to take the guys off for race, i was like thats waz gonna help me. It was only me in my car but my tank was FULL.
so we were on the red Light and as soon as the light turns Green, We both Took off.... The Maxima stayed on the back door of my car until the next red light... so that means i Smoked HIm ..... But im Impressed from the maxima's performance... about 5 people including driver sitting in the car and it stayed on the back door of my car..

nice run. You didn't "smoked" him. You just beat him by 1/2 car length. If that's what you call "smoked a car" then I guess..........

Its Horace Harding Expressway. So you are the ones who are racing down this residental street. Yes, its residential even though it say Expressway. Have many family members who live on this "street". Reason why my niece and nephew cant play and ride their bikes outside? Because people keep drag racing down this road all times of the day. I live in Brooklyn but venture into Flushing, Queens to visit family who so happens live on this street. All I see are cars flying by above 50+ mph. There are to many accidents on this road and also Northern Boulevard. Pretty sure you know what I mean since you live in NYC. One thing killing yourself but dont drag others down with you.

Anyways, I have no complaints above letting the horses out of your engine to play but do it on a race track. Be safe and smart at the same time.

A empty Max will take a TL-P anyday.

Is the LIE still 3 lanes or did they expand it? Anyway, don't race on the streets, putting yourself in danger is okay by you, but putting others (innocent bystanders) in danger is just reckeless. Take it to the track. BTW, did they close down the dunkin donughts right next to the exit for Kissena Park Blvd?

LIE is still 3 lanes. they added a HOV lane but its only runs through Nassau and Suffolk county. what the original poster meant was the service roads that parallel the LIE in both directions. This road is called Horace Harding Expressway. I totally agree with you on not racing on streets and taking it to the track instead. Like my post above reads, I have majority of my family living on or near Horace Harding Expressway. People at all times of the day like to drag race down this entire stretch of street.

Nope, the DD is still there.

i dont think your nephew and niece will be out at 1 AM riding the bikes lol.... I try to be careful with the drags bro... i have experience over that. But if you think 1am and the race is only from 1 signal to another..... Do you think its too dangerous? cause i dont think the people would come out the road to cross it cause thurz nothing on the otherside but a wall cause of the Lie going on the left.

so racing from 1 red light to another on a residental street is not dangerous? dont people park cars in between those lights? i do believe that the driver side door is on the left side which is also on the street side. FYI people do cross over the LIE by using the walk bridges so you are wrong on that.

you could have all the experience you want but drag racing on public streets are dangerous in itself. bring it to a track.

While the occassional street run does occur with the best of us, just take into account the conditions in which you have these runs and BE PREPARED to end it when conditions get hairy.

Fortunately for us in the NYC area, there are plenty of drag strips where we can safely fulfill our need for speed.

Yup, Sams right Khan.

I don't think you can really consider it a win or kill.. esp if he had his girl and 3 other guys in the back and he was still on your back door.

But, at least you can still grill him later if he says stuff against your TL-P.

Just don't take him up for a rematch.

It is definitely not a kill, but it's a win for sure. Just because that guy made a terrible decision to race (period) with passengers, you can't take the win away from lostkhan. Part of winning is making good decisions.
