Finally got my TL
Well after searching these forums for every shred of information possible, and flip flopping from a TSX and a TL, and comparing every variable, I finally got an 05 TL w/ Nav
I have no idea about the color codes but this one is grey with black interior. The car is absolutely amazing, now I see what you fellow TL owners were talking about and I see why its such a highly sought after car. The nav is a must have and I'm glad I got it, even though I had some reservations about it, its money well spent. The pics below don't do justice (camera on its last legs, photo taking skills - another story
). Anyways I'm glad I found this site, made looking for what I wanted that much easier

Welcome! Anthracite is an amazing color with the ebony interior. That was my first color choice but I ended up with White Diamond Pearl and parchment interior. The standard bluetooth feature is an excellent thing to have including the nav. There are many features so be sure to read up on the manual. How many miles are on there now?

The car has 53,000 km (approx. 32,000 miles). lol, yeah mentally stable, what was I thinking? The TSX is a nice car, but somewhat crammed in the back for a baby seat to fit, so it was a no brainer. I guess I was considering gas mileage (V6 vs. an I-4), but functionality wins out. There is quite a bit to learn about this car. The color seems to be popular up here or maybe I'm taking notice. A few questions though, does anyone actually use the Sport Shift? Also the Nav seems to be outdated (several phantom gas stations and points), is it straight forward to update? Lastly, I've been looking through the picture thread, you guys really take care of the car, what do you use to clean your TL. Thanks in advance!

-Yes lots of people use sport shift, it's more fun that way and you can control the rpms more and imo get a sportier feel, I use it about 75% of the time.
-There is a new updated NAV disk out now (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that you can get from your dealer or maybe the blackmarket here.
-To clean it... man everyone here prolly has their own little way and products they like best. It would be best to check out the Wash/Wax section in the Off Topic forums. Oh and in case you haven't seen it yet, here is the link for all AM TL's picture thread - https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-photograph-gallery-96/got-am-anthracite-metallic-602236/.
By the way, don't blame us if acurazine makes you broke

Dont use the SS mode, it will mess up your tranny in time and we all know our trannys are very gentle. As for cleaning the car, I would use Meguiars Gold Class Soap, use a good wax like Meguiars wax.

Man I'm jealous.. I want a TL. I've got a TSX. I need to trade in the TSX for TL. I got the chance to drive a TL and I liked it. One of many reasons why I liked it was due to getting response from the engine right away when pressing on the gas pedal. Also baby car seat fit perfectly with no space issues like my TSX. Congrats...

Welcome and I'm sure you will grow to love it even more! I've only had mine about 3 weeks and I like it more every time I go outside and look at it - then I drive it and like it even more.

In terms of the car seat Split797, just remember the car seats up to I think a year or so stick out and make any back seat small, once the little one becomes a toddler, space in the back should be fine with a smaller more upright seat.
