Smile Finally!

Finally bought an 08 Tl-s with 18xxx miles im so exited!! But first things first, I want to get the tints on this car, but im really confused on what % to get, I want it to be decent looking and i don't wnn get pulled over for it . Also it has some swirl marks which really upsets me . My Friend was telling me to used Zaiden or smtin. Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

Heres the pic fresh off the lot.

Nice! Someone you know will likely know the tint allowable limits. If not best bet is to go to a shop where they do safety checks and they will tell you the lowest you can go. Good luck with your future mods lol. It will happen! ahahh

For the wax/polish your friend might have suggested Zaino Bros. I like their products too. I've been using them for years with great results. Congrats on the new car. How much did you get it for?

I just got 20% all around on my 06 TL. Legal is 35% here in TN. Its dark but not too dark to where I am going to get pulled over for it. I had 15% on my old maxima and loved that but didnt want to go that dark this time.

35% is perfect! 20% is nice too if you can get away with it but if you put 35% tint on it will read around 32% combined with the stock tint in the glass. Here is an idea of what 35% looks like on my car.

Car looks great! Lots of people are getting 08 TL's around this time since a lot are coming off of two year leases. I have 35% tint also and its just right.

Thanks for the time putting up the pic, the Tl looks sick, i think the tints look perfect on that not too dark n not too light. Im confused lol. But I probbly will get 35% in the back 3 windows and around 70-80% in front. Because here in CA I believe front tints are not legal at all :-/. Oh also im confused about the mole skin and felt? like what is that, should I also get that with the tints @_@?
Im not a Pro with cars lol so sorry for the noobish questions :-/

Zaino is hands down the best synthetic wax you can use IMO my applications easily last 7 months but I don't think many shops no matter how good they are would use zaino just too expensive for them.

here's a link to the tint law from a local (santa rosa) tint shop here in CA http://www.ashadedarker.com/content/view/10/30/

i believe you can legally get 30% for the front windows and whatever you want for the back, but correct me if im wrong i would get 30% all around so the look of the tint will flow. thats what ill be doing

Congrats on the TL-S. Register it on www.myacura.com. Also save the Navi and radio codes there in case you lose them. Check out the Wash/Wax section for ideas to get ride of the swirls.

Congrats!

Add me to the list of people with 35% tint. I would love 15% but it's not worth the inspection/ticket hassles. 35% gets the job done and I'm happy with it.

sick car man. And I would definitely go 20% tint. anything darker and you might have problems with cops and anything lighter just doesn't look as good IMO. enjoy the car.

Sarbag510 just go with 20% all around. You will regret it if you don't. It really compliments nbp tl's. Check out the 3m color stable tint, you can locate a dealer here, http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...omotive_Films/ Its a bit pricey though, about $250 installed.

Welcome to the forums.

I'm trippin about the 20% all around even tho i want too... the thing is the cops around here are real dicks n they pull u over real quik... and like i heard the legal tint on the front are 70%. then again im confused. I made my mind to go 70 on front but not sure what will flow with that in the back, i was thinking 35% at rear. What yall think?

Also Thanks everyone, Az Rocks!!

go to autogeek.net and there are tons of products and info you can go through to find the one you like. I use Wolfgang/Pinnacle products to remove swirls, wax, polish, seal. Sonax for the wheels is best. Do your research and come up with the one you like, they're all pretty good especially if you buy the porter.
