I've had my TL since last December and I thought I just about had the car figured out but I have a few questions.
Is the trunk in the 3G supposed to open fully when you press the switch in the cabin or on the fob? I was reading through some threads where some owners are experiencing the same "problem" where the trunk will click open but not actually open. I had always thought this to be normal because my car does the same thing except sometimes it will open partially. Just wondering about that. Also, I've been having problems with the DPMS. About 30% of the time, When I enter the car, both mirrors immediately go skyward. I can fix this by just resetting my memory settings but its just annoying. Also the function where the mirror tilts in reverse sends it skyward too. I saw somewhere that this could be a position sensor. The mirrors do not move smoothly and make a clicking sound. I suspect the motors. Sorry for the wall of text. Thankful for any help.

1. Trunk should open slightly from the factory. It won't open all the way. Some people, including me, put additional spring to the trunk lid to make it open more / all the way.
2. While clicking sound from mirror actuators can be fixed by cleaning and re greasing them, you might not be able to fix the sensors (that make mirrors move all the way in one direction). Whole actuators shouldn't be too expensive. I replaced both of mine already.
