Features questions - Headlights on at unlock possible?

Is there a way to turn the headlights on when unlocking the car (safety feature) or did this not exist on the 2008 Acura TLs?
Also, I was surprised to see that I could lock myself out very easily if I leave the keys on the seat (by pushing the lock button down on the driver's side, it acts like a central locking). Any way to disable this "feature"? If I recall, it doesn't let you lock if the keys are in the ignition but it will if the car is running. Again, a bonehead feature because now you can't unlock using the fob, must do so with a second key manually. I get it that if I do that I am a bonehead myself but come on!

I believe that if you leave the headlights on (instead on auto) they will keep being on for certain time (you can even adjust it like 30-90 seconds) after leaving car and they will turn on again after unlocking the car.

If you press the lock button and slam the door shut with key on the seat then you indeed are a bonehead.

if you leave the headlights on when locking, they will shut off after a period of time...like 5-10 secs.
furthermore; when you go to unlock the car, the headlights will turn on!

TL engineers clearly didn’t talk to the RL engineers.

That's because one was made in JapanLand

and the other lowly TL was made here in the good ole USA...Marysville, Ohio.

now that you have owned both, you can clearly tell which car is the "flagship"

Can you actually adjust the time the headlights stay on after shutting the door? I've never heard that.
