On the TL, what does the extended warranty cover or not cover? Does it require all maintenance on the car be done by an Acura dealer?
If you don't do the EXACT maintenance as defined in the owner's guide, will Acura not do related Warranty work?

Still deciding whether to get an extended warranty or not. There is alot of electronics to go wrong here....

 

everything, from the price to what it covers, varies by dealer.

 

Of course the price will vary, but this is an Acura Corp extended Warranty, so what are the basic rules of using it, what is covered,etc.

i believe it varies. Some dealers will cover wear and tear items, others will not.

 

The extended warranty covers everything the regular warranty covers but for a longer period. Just looking at my warranty manual (yes another manual), and if you are not near an Acura dealer you can have it fixed elsewhere if the car is immobile, no dealer within 150 km, repair necessary to continue your trip etc. Spelled out very well and it looks very comprehensive. If you do modifications, or install something that screws up something else, you could be in trouble though as its specifically mentioned.

If you don't do the required maintenance and something fails, no warranty.
