take it or leave it??

I decided to buy out my 05 TL with 60,000 miles.. The credit union i am financing the car through is offering a full bumber to bumber warranty which suppose to cover everything but the parts that are considered wear and tear like tires, etc. As you can tell, I do a lot of driving during the year so I was thinking of getting something to cover any possible failures down the line.. these are the prices.

2 yr or 24,000 miles for $1605
3yr or 36,000 miles for $1892.83

I don't usually believe in getting the warranties but the prices sound reasonable and am I heavily considering it. Any thoughts/ experiences/ opinions welcome..

Check with them to see if this is the genuine Acura care warranty and not a 3rd company warranty service, also what is the deductible and what not? Are you allowed to go to any Acura dealer? do you have to front the costs first and wait for reimbursement and things of that sort.

Stupid question. IS "Acura Care™" extended warranty sold by curryacura really Acura warranty? Just want to make sure its not some company just naming itself that.

 

I believe so, but someone else can chime in on it. I would suggest giving Curry Acura a call. But I do believe that Curry Acura is an actual Acura dealer in Jersey.

 

This actually says they are located in Chicopee, MA. I thought curry acura was located in Scardale, NY. Thats why i am kind of iffy on iy

 

Check bernardi acura, too. Their prices a few months ago where way cheaper than the one's you stated above.

 

speaking from experience, most aftermarket have alot of exclusions are not accepted at all dealers because they usually want us to use cheaper aftermarket parts for repairs or take forever to pay us. also in the case of engine or transmission replacement they usually only authorize a junk yard or used engine / transmission instead of a acura reman unit.

 

Curry Acura is in MA, and buying the warranty through them is legit. You'll receive the actual documents in the mail from Honda Financial Services (Chatsworth, CA) shortly afterwards.

Also, once you buy the warranty, the information will most likely be loaded into Acura's system, so if you bring the car in for service, they'll be able to tell you have the warranty when they punch you in.
