Extended Rearview Mirror for 08 TL-S
Hey guys I'm new to the forum but have been occasionally on this forum from time to time before I joined.
I've recently bought a 08 WDP TL-S and want to get an extended rearview mirror for it since I've pretty much always drive with one and like them.
What size would fit and what brand produces those in that size? (Broadway, etc).
Many thanks

Nope, there are many sizes like 240 mm, 260 mm, 300mm. The one I had for my 05 Corolla was wide enough to fit on the TL-S but was not tall enough to cover the height of the mirror so was wondering if anyone here would know what the best size is for a 3rd gen TL.

I test fitted the prior one before I bought the car just to see if it will fit and it did not, so I want to know what size is good for the TL so I can buy one for it.

Been looking at these for a while and most of them don't tell you. Only a few say if your mirror is taller than 2.5 inches then it won't fully cover your mirror and that's the thing, a lot of them say they will fit the TL but won't completely cover it.

Broadway 270 and 300 fit just fine...height could be a little taller, but it fits and works. I swapped to 300 blue convex and couldn't be happier...my covercraft windshield sun blocker JUST squeezes past it.
posting big image because it's visible in this picture.

I don't like the multi meter that's 10 panes across, I'll admit. Once you get used to being able to see your passenger seat, rear seats, out the entire rear window AND the passenger quarter blind spot in that one mirror it's really hard to go back. I ended up doing blue convex on the S rear and side mirrors too...love them.
Plus, the blue broadway one matches the side mirror blue anti glare tint.

I know my post will have no value whatsoever to this thread, but if those things aren't the biggest eye sore I've ever seen inside the TL then I don't know what is. Never once was I in a driving situation where I felt I needed a larger rear view mirror. Ahh well I'm sure you guys have your reasons.

Looks like I remembered incorrectly - the clip fits the TLS on the Broadway mirror I got but the height isn't great enough to cover the stock mirror - Guess this will help out the OP too since he's got a type-s. Are the mirrors significantly different on the base model?

That's pretty much the same one I tried to put on before, what size is that? I've just ordered a Broadway blue tinted 280 mm one.

Adjust your mirrors correctly and you won't have any blind spots.
Drove the TL for almost 2 years with "incorrectly" adjusted mirrors. Took about a week to get used to driving with the mirrors adjusted the "correct" way and it's a big difference.
Takes some time getting used to, but once you get used to it you will never go back to what you used before.

It's a mirror, it has a functional purpose, I don't see why people say this is rice. It's asinine. So what if you get by with your stock mirror, any extra visibility can't hurt.

No sirs, the side mirrors I swapped are on my S2000, on the Tl, I think you can just replace the entire glass assembly (actually, I'm sure...contact Bruce Ack05TL).
Took a better one yesterday
Majofo, you're right man...honestly, if I hadn't had it on my RSX and gotten VERY used to convex, I might agree that it's not necessary...but once you go pink, you never stink or whatever. When I got the S2000 with it's regular mirror, if felt like I was looking out the back of my car with blinders on, in addition...when sitting at a light with the top down in the S...I felt very vulnerable to anyone being able to come up on me out of my line of sight. This solves that problem...even with peripheral I can see any movement around my car at all times.
In this picture, I'll admit, it doesn't look like a good fit, but I promise in person, the exposed part of the oem mirror is not obvious.
