Exhausted Pipe broken off

My exhaust pipe is broken off and dragging! I want to buy an exhaust adaptor from auto zone to fix it until I can replace the entire thing! I wanted to know what size to get! Thanks

i was gonna answer the OP by giving exhaust diameters but it depends where the exhaust was broken, as the exhaust can taper....
your answer makes a lot more sense!!!! as that heat shield does like to rust, fall and drag.

It's not the heat shield, it's the pipe, it broke , I think it's the intermediate shaft!

sorry I meant the pipe broke! Not the intermediate shaft, like it's broken and dragging on the ground! The pipe that connects to the exhausted that splits and release has out of the car

You'll KNOW if your pipe broke by the ghetto ass sound you'll hear. Like a fart can galore.
