I thought about that since the car was shipped out of the states and acura will only tell me that the car is not made for this country. Maybe if i would call corprate what do guys think they would tell me?????

I don't think they would do anything since the car is no longer in the U.S. There's no dealer down there to bring the car to so it can be closely examined. Keep us posted though.

have you received notification of the p.s. recall? if you havent recived notification yet they cant claim negligence on your part not having the recall performed. The recall information states that you can have a local dealeship perform the recall and then be reimbursed by acura. At least thats what me dealer told me

realistically I dont think they will cover that, but try and I wish you the best of luck.

I still find interesting the fact I didnt see your battery where it normally is. was it relocated? one of the pictures show the battery area empty.

doesnt matter. you are the registered owner of the vehicle and NHTSA requires all registered owners of the cars with a new recall be notified. just becuase youre not in the states doesnt mean that your car is somehow excluded from the recall

^ true, Also! not everyone is online to recieve notifications of recalls and such. If you were not informed by phone or email you might have a case

But why would the NHTSA give a crap about a car in the DR?

It's a statute for any product manufactured in the U.S.

Just because it was sold to a citizen elsewhere does not make the manufacturer exempt from the law.

mine had some leak from the power steering hose. if the recall didnt come out when it did, my car would have ended up like this too....
