Take a blow dryer.
Heat the emblems.
Move emblems occasionaly to see if loose.
Once loose enough use Dental floss and remove from behind.
Use bug/tar remover to remove all remaining glue. COol cool>

I used a little bit of fishing line and stayed on the logo side and cut through the glue. then I used goo gone to whip away anyother residue, this took about 5 minutes and left no scratching or anything.

Carefully with 3M double sided tape from your local hardware store.

Dental floss without a hair dryer worked fine for me and WD-40 got off the goo. Be sure to wax over the newly uncovered area. I reapplied emblems with silicone RTV before selling cars and it seemed to work fine.

I'm glad somebody else asked that question, because I was afraid to. Didn't want to get

Seriously, now that the question is out there, what's wrong with the emblems, um, er badges?

Some owners like the cleaner look of the debadged car, while some of us like the way the badges break up and minimize the bulk of the TL's trunk and rear end.
The Honda emblem people like to recognize and give tribute to the genius of the parent company and engine maker- sort of a reverse snobbism.
Now, where is that Volkswagen badge I was going to put on my Bentley??...

there was a good video that showed how to remove the emblems with very little work involved.

no emblems > leaving emblems on

The tl's trunk is way too cluttered for all of the badges on there.

There are 3, but 2 can be easily removed w/o holes.

Like someone else has said, we like the cleaner look. It also makes washing/waxing a lot easier without the badges on there. And $20 out of $40K is the plastic badges.

When I had debadged mine, there was just double sided tape, not glue. I just took some dental floss (folded into 4's to make it very strong) and slowly slide it up and down between the letters until it came off. Then I just used my fingers to roll the left over double sided tape off and cleaned it with goo gone.

SteveP, I think you and I are a minority of 2.

Oh well, whatever floats your boat, right?

I think so RT........... we all have our own opinions on this - I can respect that.
I love my Acura TL as is so much I'm not about to start making any significant changes to it. It took me a long time to get to a place where I could afford one...

I think debadging makes the car's lines look better and the trunk less cluttered.
I don't like the H on the TL, but I love it on the TSX.
Agreed, the car is great the way it is...but there's something about modding that's addictive and enticing. It's all about taking something stock and making it your own...taking something great and making it better in your own eyes.
