Dw-1

I know someone will ask me to search it but I was wondering if dw-1 is not the best thing for the tranny. I've heard it's ok but some members such as Ihc if I'm not mistaken advise the usage of redline racing fluid. So is there anything wrong with using dw-1 changed every 30k miles or should I use racing fluid? Thanks

I would advise sticking with the OEM fluid.

I would stick with OEM fluid, but it seems a lot of people run the Redline without any issues.

DW1 is better than Z1. I use a combination of DW1 and Redline. I think the real secret is changing the fluid more frequent (20k miles) and doing the 3/4 switches. I have 74k on my car which is usually the danger zone of needing tranny work.

Z1 is the straight up trash ATF. DW-1 is a definite improvement and should be fine for general use. Use some D4 to add more shift feel.

Does the shift feel lead to longer clutch life?
