DVD-audio In other Cars
My wife was watching Regis and Kelly on Tivo tonight and they unveiled some of the cars at the New York auto show. The guy doing the presentation specifically mentioned DVD-Audio on both the new Caddy STS and the 2006 Infiniti M45 they showed. He also mentioned 14 speakers in the CTS and 18 in the Infiniti. My point is the more cars that have it, the more buyers there will be for this medium and the more DVD-A discs will be out there. Any thoughts?

I'm hopeful, but hardly confident.
I went to Best Buy yesterday evening, and was sorely disappointed in the selection. I don't know if it's because demand is picking up, or they're reducing their inventory, but it was sure slim pickings.

Their's is small also, but they seem to be slightly increasing their selection compared with BB which is cutting their's.

What is really interesting to me, though, is that Acura sells a CD/Mp3 player for the TSX. Clearly, Acura targeted the high-sound quality of the DVD-A toward the TL buyer, with the notion that the TL buyer would be less young & hip and less likely to use Mp3s (than the TSX buyer). (I wonder if there was market research on the question; seems likely.)
