Driver side memory warranty

Driver side memory warranty
I brought my car for service today to the dealer trying to fix the problem.
I also have provide them with the TSB # 04-005 and Part # 81628-SEP-A02, however they said these numbers are invalid and could not help me replace the parts.
They told me Canada Acura does not affiliate with US Acura, so at the mean time they cannot solve the problem under the warranty.
My car's vin is #1434, which belongs to the early problems for the seat memory.
Any Canadians out there who have already fixed their problem? Pls advise.

I've been checking in with the dealer sporadically over the last few months regarding this TSB. Each time he couldn't find it and said that the U.S. is separate from Canada, blah blah blah.
This week I went for my first oil change, mentioned the issue again, and the service manager disappeared for 15 minutes scanning through his computer. Finally he re-appeared and tossed a print-out to the parts manager and said "order this". Apparently the TSB is in the system now for Canadians, but it's only available UPON CUSTOMER COMPLAINT.
Have them check again.

I will have them check again this week. Did they provide you with the part number which they replaced with?

No, I never saw the TSB. I will ask for a copy once they call me when the part is in. If you need it quicker than that, have your service manager call the service manager at Southview Acura in Edmonton to get the necessary information.
Good luck.

I am a little confused by this. If it is broken (i.e. doesn't work properly), why won't they fix it under warrenty? Are you beyond the warrenty by miles\Kilometers? Is the warrenty period different in Canada? If I had a problem with my radio and their wasn't a TSB documenting the problem, I really wouldn't care. Acura had better fix it under warrenty as long as I am within the time frame and mileage period. Please elaborate.

No, it's covered by warranty, only they don't go out of their way to let you know that there's an updated part available. First you have to complain, THEN you get a fix.
I guess they figure that most owners are the only driver and won't even notice that there's a problem with the seat memory. Cheaper for them in terms of warranty costs.

My solution..............is not to let my wife drive my TL (actually she's too parnoid about scratching, crashing, etc etc). Only one setting required..........mine.
Interesting to see a number for Canadian owners on this thread. Anyone care to exchange purchase price info?

I have quoted them the part number, but they said it is an invalid number.
What else could I tell them to do?

I dropped my car today and got it back, they put the new controller for memory seats, so far its working... light comes everytime when I open the door. So hopefully will find out if its working properly in few days. btw i'm the only driver for my TL too but since we got this sweet feature, I always look at it to see if the light is there.
