Driver door rattle

At first I thought it was the handle and the curtain airbag. It turns out it already had the padding in there by the metal bracket where the air bag is.

It sounds like something is rubbing/crackling. It goes away when the window is open. Even if the window is opened a little.
Anyone has any idea what's causing this? I had been trying to find it for the past week.

Read the "Headliner Help" thread - it goes on a tangent about this exact noise. I too have expereinced it myself and yes, when I cracked the window just a bit it goes away. I was going to shoot some silicone spray along where the window makes contact - but have not done so.

My car does the exact same thing - a creaking/rubbing by the windows and then a clicking/buzzing by the door itself (by the lock).

I tried reseating the window seal (you can pull it off and just press it back into place fairly easily) and it went away for a little while. Oakland's service department tried to tape up the insides of the door panel to fix the rattle, but it came right back after a while. Stevens Creek Acura is replacing the two door panels for me this week -- which will hopefully fix the problem -- while my car is getting its butt repainted (on Acura's dime).

I have just over 1000 miles on mine, and I have a steering column intermittent rattle and the driver side door rattle. What were your results from the repairs at the shop, folks? Did they work? OR, what about the silicone spray? Did it work? If so, what did you use and where did you shoot it?

Lots of us are listening!!!

Mine does this as well, it gets worse when its above 80f outside. Both sides do it on mine however.

Have not heard it since so I never needed the spray. This week is supposed to be a scorcher, and I think I noticed it more on hot days - I'll let you know if it comes back.

Try reseating the window seals. I've found that to help slightly... since it seems like the actual glass is pushing up against the seal at weird places when the car's body flexes with the imperfections in the road.
