Question Drive by wire design

I notice the newer TypeS is base on a drive by wire compared to the traditional drive by throttle design. It seems if you accelerate this is a slight hesitation. Not sure if I like it because I am too use to pushing it and want my car to go. What do you guys think?

My lexus is drive by wire, it is a lot worst than Acura. I remember the good old days with my 02 TLS. Now that was a great driving experience. But I only test drove the new S a couple of times and notice the slight lag. I haven't seen any post concerning this so that why I brought it up.

I hear a lot of people talking about the hesitation but I honestly don't have a clue what people are talkin bout. The car feels natural to me. Maybe because I have AT I don't have to worry about sensitivity too much.

I used to have an E-class that had electronic brakes.....Now THAT sucked!! Brakes were powerful and effective but totally unnatural. Brakes feel unlike any other car. It was so hard to bring that car to a natural stop, took a bit of practice. Mercedes has learned their lesson and went back to older technology now. It think their SLR is the only one with it now.

Acura has done a MUCH better job!

electronic brakes suck. But back to the DBW, the DBW adjusts to your driving style, I notice when I get the ECU reset, the DBW will always hesitate like its waiting for more thottle input to determine when to shift down or up, but after about 50 or so miles, it goes away.

Yeah! That's the similar concept i heard. But i heard its the ECU that pretty much feels out the driver and reads the driver's style and what he/she does with the car. Adjusting to the patterns of the driver, you'll be able to feel better in the car the more you drive it. And i think DBW is just a part of that "ECU experience"? i'm pretty sure that's how DBW works?
