Drilling hole/power supply under the car, near the rear seat area

I’m planning to install an electric exhaust cutout where the mid-muffler used to be. With some calculations that puts the target area right under the front half of the rear seats.

I also can install it anywhere around the area too, but I’d like it to be after my resonator (same area as stock res), so have a bit of room to play with.

im wondering if that hump in the rear can be drilled through safely? (Aka no hidden wires in that area?)

also could route it through the area under the spare tire, though wire would be more exposed.

Any recommendations? Wire would connect to the 12v cig lighter connector in the front armrest, though could tap into any power source in the rear (don’t have Sirius).

Mid muff is right about here, where the door arch curves up sharply

Which is right in the front half area of the rear seats

There are grommets under the rear seat that you might be able to use. Running wires under the carpet can be a bear but I've done it with the carputer I installed years ago.

You'll have 2 clips and 2 bolts to remove to get the rear seat bottom out, it's not that bad.

The grommets are on both sidees:

The carpet can be lifted up once you remove the plastic kick panels. There are layers of padding under the carpet as well.
Instead of using the centre console 12v, use an add a circuit to feed off the drivers side fuse box. There is one screw that is attached to the frame that you can wire a ground to next to the fuse box.

Thank you both for the info. I just took off the rear seats. And the carpet under looks usable.
. Right side off in 2 seconds, left side took 2 minutes. Need some downward pressure so sitting on the seat with legs out the door and digging with my right hand worked on the left seat (right dominant)

I see the grommets directly under the seats, but not sure where they go.

any existing holes near that area that connect to the outside world I could use?

Those go to the exterior of the car (underneath), it's was a point of water intrusion in 2004 and the TSB said to apply some sealant to the area around the grommet.

So this black wire leads gives access to the outside? Like if I shine a light from the hole, I should theoretically see it from the underside of the car? Does seem raised up, but don’t remember seeing any covers at the bottom.
