The dreadful CEL and Blinking D!

So, we had a snow storm and I had to dig out my 07 TL from about 2 feet of snow. I just got a brand new set of 4 winter tires. Well in the process of taking my car out of snow, i turned off VSA and i revved a few times past 4. I changed transmission to D and R a few times. I got the car out. about 5 minutes later, Transmission light "D" started blinking and CEL came on.

Later in the day, CEL disappears and transmission light hasn't blinked. The next day, no sign of CEL and no "D" flashing.

I would like to think that whatever happened, it was a temporary transmission overheat or some sort of glitch, but in back of my mind, i know something got messed up. I hate waiting. Waiting for something to happen. Now CEL is gone too and there is no way for me to find out what happened. About 2 months ago I replaced Transmission oil with Amsoil, and changed engine oil to Pennzoil Platinum.

This winter is going to be very harsh on my TL

You can still check the codes even if the lights off, the computer stores all codes and faults for later retrieval. If it shifts fine, then it was probably some sort of glitch/internal slip.

Yeah, the shifting is same as before, I didn't notice any slip or abnormal shifts. Soon as I get a chance, I will bring it in for code retrieval.

Off topic, but what are your thoughts on the Amsoil ATF compared to DW-1? Are you using the supershift?

No, I am using the signature series. And to be honest, the previous owner didnt maintain the car very well so when I did 3x3 oil change, the difference was noticeable right away, shifting was quick and smoother. We have -30C temp here, and its still going strong. Cold shifts are a bit noticeable.

So I don't have any experience with DW-1 other than the first few days I got the car.
