Door locks

Just purchased an 06 TL Black... Anyone have any sugestions for getting the front door locks to be flush on the door. They poke you in the elbow when resting arm on door.

if you went into the lake, the pressure of the water on the outside would be too great anyways to open the door, the only solution is window breakage either way!

This is one of the few design features of the TL I really dislike...
ON my VW, there was no need for door lock pins. If the doors were locked, the first pull of the handle unlocks the door, and the second opens it.

I noticed this problem as well, but not enough to do the job on it. Its alot less annoying when I lock the doors, and doesnt bother me as much.

if u push the window with your feet the water pressure makes it break. useless FYI, but i was interested in shorter door locks just for aesthetics.
i think u just cut them shorter, but someone must know 4 sure. I think someone here did it.

i was paying for food @ the drive through and when I stuck my arm out to pay I touched the pin and it made all the locks shut. it happens often but the funny thing about this time was a black guy was walking past @ that exact moment & when he heard my door locks I got a LOOK. haha

So what happens if a Lambo ends up on it's roof? How do you get out? There is no emergency release and the doors open upwards.... think about it....

You have too much time on your hands .

Also, you didnt know that the lambo has an automatic leveling system for when it is submerged in water?

lol... No actually it was a topic that come up last night at dinner with friends from another forum. I honestly had never thought about it before last night. Apparently a Husband and wife flipped it and couldn't get out hence they were burned alive when the car caught fire. Now lambo is apparently talking about trying to invent an emergency release mechanism in case this ever happens again.

I'm not going to do the rear doors. This way I'll have two doors to use in case I end up at the bottom of a lake!!!!!

Not true. You need to wait for the inside of the car to fill up with water. Once it does, the water preasure will be equalized and you'll be able to open the door. You just need to take a nice deep breath before you lose all of the air out of the car. I'm sure this is not a nice experience.
