Door Check Arm Protector

This is something I had never seen before and happened to come across it online. It was cheap at under $3 and I thought it would be something different and button up the car a little more. We already have the door striker cover so. And I know you never really see this and it doesnt really help with anything but as I said it was something different, cleans things up a little and why not.

Let the flaming begin.....

Door striker cover that already comes on our cars.

Clean. It may even help prevent dirt and corrosion. Where'd you get it?

My driver side rear door is starting to corrode at the bottom and all the bolts and nuts of the bumper are rusted, I live in the snowy lands of Canada.

My door arm looks pristine. It makes it cleaner, but to say it would help for corrosion on our cars...

Yea I dont think its actually going to protect it from anything, just makes it look a bit better. Got it from AliExpress.com - Online Shopping for Electronics, Fashion, Home & Garden, Toys & Sports, Automobiles from China., they are the cheapest. You can also find them on ebay and amazon.

I know. It's bubbling on the bottom outside, I have to fix it before this winter. Probably going to try to neutralize it, POR15 it, then black gloss it or something.

unfortunately, when you cut out and weld new piece in, it's very prone to rusting up again in a matter of years

make sure proper anti-rusting is applied to the fixed areas. Many shops just paint over and call it a day.
