So I received a chain letter text message. "The nation is attempting a GAS STRIKE... Friday May 2nd. Don't buy gas. Send to everyone!" I thought I would share it with everyone here. Why not let's send a message to the oil companies. Did you get a message too? Will you avoid purchasing gas May 2nd? I think I will.

Your just going to refill your gas later that week which really proves nothing. The best thing to do is strike against the largest gas companys. Sorry I really cant remember what they are.

 

If you don't buy gas on the 2nd then don't try to fill up on the 3rd because the lines will be too long...

 

Every year this shit goes around. People think it will damage the oil companies sales/profits. How is what I want to ask. Even if everyone in the US striked on 5/2... The gas stations would be overwhelmed on 5/3.

oh yeah! every gas station will raise the prices thursday and some more on saturday to compensate.
Since the local dealer has already bought the gas- to have on hand for you,
thats the ONLY people who feel the hit-
they still have to be open for business and pay employees.

You want to fight back- tune up your car and drive slower with less running around-
use the gps to make the great circle route of the days errands-
Then write your congress and tell them E85 ethanol is going to kill the economy and serves only Big Oil and Big Farm

 

OK, so no one buys gas on Friday, instead everyone will buy gas on Saturday....rrrrriiight....

You know damn well that ain't gonna happen. Maybe when gas hits $5-$6 a gallon, the people in this country will stop being so complacent and do what the truckers did yesterday in Washington. We're a nation of sheep for not doing it already.

I've always done that...not to save gas, but because it's common sense.

Oh, wait, never mind...I know why you actually have to say it to people...

 

I think if everyone used alternate transportation for a week instead of not gasing up for one day would make a bigger difference.. If everyone used mass/public transit or rode a bike.. mucho bigger difference!

But I drive about 100 miles a day so that's not an option for me. Gas on Friday.. me thinks so.
