Does your VSA switch light up differently?

Hey guys,

I didn't consider this a problem; more of a curiosity thing so I posted it here.

I noticed when I wired up my accord fog switch illumination that my VSA switch illumination was out.

I didn't know if when I tapped into the VSA switch to get power to the accord switch bulb, if it would blow my VSA bulb.

So I bought a new VSA bulb, and placed it in the bottom slot of the switch (there's two slots).

Now it works - but it lights up a different shade - whereas the mirror button lights up a bright whiteish green.

The VSA button lights up like a pale white green. Looks dimmer.

Anywho, does your VSA light up a different shade?

Let me know, so I can update my DIY, thanks!

Yeah, might be different wattage. I replaced a couple of dozen bulbs a while back in my car and the buttons underneath the MID are way off. Ones white and ones almost yellow. I'm lazy and haven't gotten around to replacing the yellow one with the right bulb.

Yeah, heheh.

Does your VSA light still work?
Can you tell me if it looks dim (pale green?).

Doesn't make sense to me since I bought the right bulb right from the parts diagram =( 14V 40MA

Kinda itches my eye, but I'm pretty happy it lights up.

Yes my VSA light works. I replaced the bulb and the mirror light lights up normal and bright like the rest of the lights do. And yes the VSA light on mine does look dim compared to the rest.

You sir - answered my question =)

You replaced your mirror bulb that quick?

Thanks a bunch!

I noticed the bulb is the same as the trunk release bulb (14v 40MA), and they're both the same dim colour so I think it's supposed to be like that now LOL

Looks strange for me since my VSA is like a dim green, my mirror is like a bright green/white, and my foglight switch is like a bright yellow.

All different colours LOL

Well from when i first posted till i confirmed the color. It was 3 hours. Thats plenty to go to the dealer and replace the small bulb.
Also i didn't notice the trunk light was dim as well. I guess you don't really see that anyways from the seat unless, it is someone like you looking at every bulb in detail to see if they are dim or bright. lol Since I have an 08, I have the fog switch on my combination switch. Were as I believe the 04-06 had the switch next to the mirror button.

They had to custom order my bulb - lucky americans get stuff on the spot LOL

04-06 TLs don't come with lower fog lights; so no switch LOL

Thanks again, man.

My foglight switch you see is for my accord lower foglight retrofit lol
Usually, there is no fog light switch and instead, there would be a "blank" button lol

You're correct on the 04-06 fogs being in the space of your DRL on 07/08 though.
It's controlled using the combination switch too.

Anywho, might I say welcome to the forum!
