When you lock the 04 TL with your key FOB, both the tail brakelight blinks as a confirmation. Today I noticed that the third brakelight does not? Will you please post if yours does?

 

Correct, its only blinking the parking lights, not the brake lights. No problems.

(If you're close enough you'll see that your dash lights blink as well)

 

My dash lights don't blink. What are you doing when the dash lights blink? Can you double check this dash light blinking thing?

I've only ever seen it in the parking garage; its just the blue ring that comes on when you open your door, not the numbers. So its kinda dim if you have any glare.

(And to be fair, I didn't go out and confirm that, I have a baby strapped to my chest, so its a little inconvenient. As soon as he's clear I'll go confirm. )

 

You're right. I was thinking you meant the speedo and tach lighting came on. So I went to the garage and left the lights off, and saw that all of the control button lights blink also, along with those two little blue ones by the roof light switches, once for lock and twice for unlock, just like the outside lights.
